I recently had the pleasure of dining at Coco Asia, located within the Lakeside Shopping Centre. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed with the convenience of the restaurant's location. The restaurant is situated near Parking D, which happened to be the closest parking lot, and it's worth noting that the parking is free. This added convenience made my overall experience more enjoyable, as I didn't have to worry about parking fees or a long walk to the restaurant.
One of the highlights of Coco Asia is its stunning lake views. The restaurant's location provides a picturesque backdrop, allowing diners to enjoy their meals while taking in the serene beauty of the nearby lake. I found this feature to be particularly enchanting, as it added a sense of tranquility to the dining experience. Additionally, Coco Asia boasts a dedicated Shisha smoking section, catering to those who enjoy this traditional aspect of Asian cuisine.
Moving on to the food, the starters we ordered were absolutely delightful. The Dragon Roll, Chicken Bao, and Korean wings were all bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The Dragon Roll had a perfect balance of fresh ingredients and a delicate blend of textures, making it a delightful treat for sushi lovers. The Chicken Bao was incredibly tender, and the fluffy steamed buns complemented the succulent filling perfectly. As for the Korean wings, they were wonderfully crispy on the outside and packed with a tangy and spicy sauce that left a delightful kick on the palate.
For the main course, we opted for the Chilli Chicken and Sirloin Steak. The Chilli Chicken was a spicy and aromatic dish that had just the right amount of heat. The tender pieces of chicken were coated in a flavorful sauce, accompanied by vibrant vegetables that added a satisfying crunch to each bite. The Sirloin Steak, cooked to perfection, was tender, juicy, and seasoned to enhance its natural flavors. It was served with a selection of sides that complemented the dish wonderfully.
Throughout the evening, the service at Coco Asia was exceptional. Our server, Jaber, was attentive, knowledgeable, and had a genuine passion for the cuisine. He provided recommendations, ensured our glasses were never empty, and was always ready to assist with any requests. Jaber's friendly demeanor and professionalism greatly enhanced our dining experience, leaving us feeling well taken care of.
In conclusion, Coco Asia at Lakeside Shopping Centre is a hidden gem for Asian cuisine enthusiasts. With its convenient location, breathtaking lake views, dedicated Shisha smoking section, and delicious food, this restaurant offers a truly memorable dining experience. Whether you're seeking an intimate dinner or a casual outing with friends, Coco Asia is definitely worth a visit. Don't forget to try the Dragon Roll, Chicken Bao, and Korean wings for starters, and consider the Chilli Chicken and Sirloin Steak for a satisfying main course. With exceptional service provided by Jaber, you can expect a delightful and memorable dining experience...

Food & Drinks The food is top quality: every dish we tried was beautifully presented, generously portioned, and bursting with flavour. I especially loved the Weekend Brunch — everything from the perfectly poached eggs to the fresh, vibrant sides made for a truly indulgent start to the day. The flavours were thoughtfully balanced, and you can tell ingredients are high calibre. Drinks were equally impressive — attentive, well made, and complimented the food without overpowering it.

If you're looking for an exceptional dining experience, Coco Lakeside should be at the top of your list. We opted for the 3-course menu at £35 per person (weekend only 12pm-5pm), and it exceeded all expectations.

Read moreFirstly Coco Asia, is stunning aesthetically they have got it right. The arrival greeting was pleasant and friendly. We were sat down and got a waiter offer us drinks promptly. They did ask us three times if we were ready to order food. We ordered the sparkling Rose it was very good! Starters we had the chicken bao, Korean wings and jhal Puri - all of them were tremendous! Tasty and full of flavour. Presented well and with a dry ice show as well. Fantastic!
Mains we had the Coco special chicken and lamb biryani, parathas and the food again was delicious! The biryani came with only mint yoghurt and was very dry so I had to request a sauce to accompany it. Usually I'm used to a biryani coming with a veg curry. I'd recommend the menu state to order a wet dish if required. But the sauce that came was fantastic and raised the level of the dish higher. Lamb was cooked very well.
Dessert we ordered the caramel soaked brownie with mango sorbet... We got a brownie with vanilla ice cream. The brownie was dry and not soaked in caramel (not that I could taste or tell). It was a let down compared to the rest of the meal. It looked great but didn't taste great. That's why I've reduced 1 star on food. I reduced one star on atmosphere because some of the music that was played had the N word and swearing which is distasteful for a restaurant trying to be classy and the rap even though some of which I enjoyed was not the best choice of music. I dropped a star on service because once it got busy we almost got forgotten and took ages for the bill to come. It was also obvious other tables got a fruit platter and bottle of water when they sat down and we were not treated equally. I understand a lot of guests were there following fasting, but all guests regardless of religion should be offered the same service.
The cost is quite high so it would not be a regular restaurant to visit. It is definitely worth it for a special occasion.
There was also a live saxophone player and DJ and magician which was quite a nice experience. Can be a bit loud and constant so if you want somewhere quiet don't go on a Sunday.
I would return and would highly recommend it and will definitely be...
