Talk about a match of two halves our experience last evening in Las Iguanas went from being great to dire at the drop of a hat. It started with no record of a booking for 8pm which while catered for seemed to annoy the original server, we overlooked this as she kept saying, it’s ok, we can serve you. Service was good and quick, which was just great. The food was nice and we were having a good time. Our sever was lovely and on point. But the, after clearing out tables it all went wrong, the time was 9.10pm. “Can I get you anything else?” Yes please, we replied some churros and three coffees please. “Sorry no coffees the bar is now closed, so just the churros then!” and walked off. Where on earth in the world does this happen, with 18 people left eating they decide to shut the bar for ALL drinks without a by your leave. From my long ago experience in hospitality we would have gone to each table and said “we are going to close the bar, is there anything else you require?” But no, because additional drinks might not get the staff out at 10pm. This is abysmal service for a big brand eatery, but my story did not end there. Two tables away was a lady that indirectly works with me, I manage a shopping centre and she works for one of my tenants, she left 20 minutes before us having been declined the same request. While I appreciate the restaurant may have been quiet, this kind of “sucky” service makes a very big difference between returning or never returning again. And all the good work at the start of the night which would have earned the staff a decent tip (twice), instead made at least two large tables think very differently of the brand as a whole, just because a few staff just couldn’t be arsed and wanted to go home. Obviously while dialogue won’t be heard, the venues CCTV will back up my statement, because thankfully we live in an environment now where everything is recorded. We and my indirect colleague (13 people in total) most definitely would not return again. I should say, this complaint is not so much about the coffee, it’s in the ignorance to the duty of care staff pay to customers and the clear lack of respect to the visitors that go to the establishment that keep a roof over their heads. We all know working in hospitality is hard work, but why make it harder on yourself but not securing your future.

My wife and i went here for dinner before seeing a film. It was our anniversary, so it was nice to get a night out alone. We were greeted by a lovely friendly lady, who assumed was the manager. After sitting down and looking at the menu, we saw that they do a boozy brunch and a Sunday all you can eat/drink deal. As it was a Tuesday we didn't think either would be an option, but thought it would be something nice to do another day, so asked the lady about how it worked. She very kindly said that as it wasn't particularly busy, we could try either option. She explained everything that was included, and we decided to go with the Sunday all you can eat appetisers and all you can drink cocktails option. Then we had 90 mins to totally gorge ourselves 😜 We were then served by a really friendly chap. He kept bringing us food and drinks throughout the meal, and we chatted about recent Florida holidays with him. The whole experience was absolutely brilliant! The food was delicious, the cocktails were tasty, but most of all the service from everyone was top notch! It really made our visit very special and enjoyable. We left absolutely stuffed, and then watched a not so great Alien film. Thanks again for making our night out so great 👍

For many years I have always loved coming to Las Iguanas, but this time they seemed to be a bit cold towards us from the moment I mentioned that my daughter is allergic to Egg, Milk and Nuts. We went through the menu but they had nothing my daughter could eat. Apparently nearly everything is "cross contaminated". They gave us a lecture on the meaning of cross contamination. To them intentionally interchanging utensils and things in the kitchen and making food for someone with allergies is cross contamination. We tried to explain cross contamination is not intentional, if you know someone has an allergy to egg and you routinely fry veggies for customers using the same pan, that is not cross contamination, it is not even a may contain egg either. Anyway they refused to take out view on it and when we decided to just order fries for my 6 year old daughter, they said they use the same fryer for everything, so risk of cross contamination! We gave up and went elsewhere. So many other places that cater to allergies. Restaurants need to make more effort to cater for all, especially given that the numbers of people with allergies are on the rise.

Went here with some friends last night, wouldn’t go back again. We all had the bottomless brunch looking to have lots of drinks within the 90 min time limit. The first drink didn’t arrive until 20mins after ordered (was only 5 of us so not a massive table) food looked nothing like on their website photos. There were only 2 staff on the bar serving the whole restaurant, I don’t know if they had someone call in sick but they had loads of wait staff waiting around not doing anything so I don’t know why they couldn’t help make some drinks. The bar was half full of all the empty glasses from the tables (it seemed like everyone was doing the bottomless brunch last night) The staff kept forgetting drinks or would bring us the next tables drinks, we ended up having a laugh with them about how they must have been switching our drinks on purpose! Toilets were upstairs which is hard to navigate when you’re trying to drink a lot of alcohol in 90 mins! Staff apologised for errors/wait but nothing was taken off the bill or vouchers offered etc. We ended up going to TFG Fridays after here for the dessert and more drinks and the difference in service/food quality was very clear. We won’t be going back to Las...
