Visited for my birthday, 4 people, ordered drinks, bottle of wine plus soft drinks.... Waitress turned up with one glass of wine, highlighted issue, politely, and was told - how am I meant to know - I didn't take your order but I'll fix it. We thought okay, it's Sunday, it's busy fair enough-maybe she's stressed. We ordered a few sides and 4 mains, I understand that at wagas, I've been many times, food comes at different times, but everyone's mains were there apart from my young sons, called the waiter over after about 20 mins - he will check - more than ten minutes later grumpy wine Waitress delivers meal - not correct, not her fault again but needs rectifying - met with the same rude response. Original waiter comes over barely apologises and takes new order, 20 minutes later my son gets his food correctly. We had all finished. Very disappointed. Have been to this restaurant many times but visited today - all new staff with little to no customer service skills. I'm not looking for something free but a proper apology was needed, and not received. Mistakes happen but something other than a mumbled apology is necessary. I will be back as I love the food but please, some advice to waiters about taking orders and dealing with...
Read moreI cannot begin to explain the awful experience I had at this restaurant. Long story short, I ordered the prawn firecracker and the food arrived lukewarm, with hardly any sauce. I requested for the food to be made again as the one I received was not up to standard. I kid you not, after around 10 minutes they returned the same food back to me, in the exact same state. I refused the food and said yet again that I would like for the chef to make a fresh one. It was at this point that the manager came over to where I was sat. I explained the situation to her, and she became combative with me. It was very unprofessional and I felt very small in the moment. Anyway, the manager eventually took the food away to be made again. However, AGAIN, management arrived with the same dish that had been returned. I was absolutely disgusted! So at this point I said for my dignity and integrity I will not consume this food. I questioned whether it was even safe to eat the food at this point, the way it had been passed back and forth. The whole experience was odd, strange and pretty much ruined what was meant to be a nice evening catching up with a friend. I will never return to this restaurant again. A horrible place with a horrible...
Read moreThe staff are friendly and the food presentation is good but I'm not so won over by this place as others people I know. I'm aware that the things things I dislike are probably just personal preference but I'll mention them anyway.
So first of all is the seating inside, they're like long picnic tables so you can eat shoulder to shoulder with strangers. I get that it's part of the modern aesthetic or whatever but if you enjoy having your own space when you go out to dinner then I'd recommend eating outside or somewhere else.
The other thing for me is the food itself is kinda boring, take the ramen noodles which I made the mistake of ordering. I get ramen noodles for myself when I'm at home and they strike me as two things, firstly they're dirt cheap (students live on them) and secondly they're really tasty. It's kind of their defining features.
So why did I pay £10+ for a bowl of plain boiled water with ramen noodles floating around in it? It wasn't cheap and it had absolutely no taste.
I've tried some other stuff since and the plain boiled noodles got swapped for plain boiled rice. Safe to say in l'm still...
