We xame to the camelot for one night stay in room 3 a family of 4 . The rooms were very basic but clean and comfortable, nice little on suite , we didnt have a view but that didnt bother us as we were out all day. Dont let the front of this hotel out you off as like many of the blackpool hotels the front could use a lick of paint and some tlc . The breakfast was delicious and set up well where you help yourselves to toast and cereal and someone takes your order for a cooked breakfast . The owner pete seemed like a lovely man showed us to our room and very accommodating . Now the reason i didnt give this place more stars was that at breakfast a young girl who was very clearly struggling (as all the rooms had come to breakfast at the same time) was left to do more than she could cope with, the poor girl kept apologising for the wait , was rushing to refill things would start one thing and be told by an older lady out back to do another and unfortunately i had a clear view of the back kitchen from my table and on more than one occasion the young girl would go back to be told off by the older lady who i a assumed was the cook. On one trip to refill my juice i heard the older lady and a males voice moaning and bad mouthing the girl who really was trying her best and was very polite and apologetic for the wait , the fact we had cereal and toast to help ourselves with meant waiting a little longer really was no bother to us. . This ended in the young girl leaving the dinning room in floods of tears saying she cant take no more . Perhaps if the 2 people taking the time to badmouth the young girl had helped her instead of grinding her down our breakfast experience would of been alot better, i believe no job on this earth is worth mentally exhausting yourself expecially at such a young age. Other than that as i said breakfast was lovely , the place was clean and very basic and served its purpose , great location as right opposite...
Read moreRoom 3 - 2 night stay, family of 4.|Pete and Michelle were absolutely lovely, friendly, knowledgeable, and had excellent communication pre - and post our stay. ||+The facilities were good, fresh towels, hairdryer, lots of drawer storage. Lovely tv with a tea and coffee selection, which was topped up anytime we asked! (And we love tea!) The room was bright and spacious, perfect for 2 pre teens and 2 adults, we didn't feel on top of each other. There were also some hangers, an added fan (it was a scorching weekend, this was such an appreciated gesture!) and a full length mirror. Plenty of plug sockets round the room. |- the pillows were too thin for our comfort needs and the top window would not shut so it was a little noisy (however, I know I perhaps should have mentioned it) The bathroom could do with some shower gel/shampoo. The doors were very creaky. ||+The room was very clean and well maintained. There's a big shower with excellent pressure. ||+we had breakfast at the hotel, really good selection of cereal and toast with jams and butter. There's plenty to pick from for a cooked breakfast (you fill in a little fork with what you want and they cook it when you come down) we all enjoyed what we ordered, and it was very reasonably priced.|-the timing of 1 hour only as an option 8.30-9.30, I think could be extended slightly. 8am-10am? Overall we had a lovely stay, most of us slept well and were coolband comfortable though the night, we would absolutely stay again and I'd definitely try a sea view...
Read moreThe host Andy has great hospitality. The hotel is directly opposite south pier! Next to Pleasure beach. It's our 2nd stay. The place is tired rundown and shabby around the edges, however Andy is busy making the rooms up to standard.I'm not gonna judge this hotel by commenting on peeling wallpaper. As some seem to have done ? Andy does his upmost best to people please. He really is a lovely man. The lady in the kitchen serves excellent breakfasts! We arrived early to go On pleasure beach rides. Andy let us check in hours earlier than we should have. Not many would do that. Also this building looks tired and dated from the outside but it is facing onto the North Sea taken a battering with rain sun snow and gusts of wind. Clean bedding Clean towels Lovely en-suite .. Very quite hotel Andy doesn't allow stag/hen party's which is music to our ears 🤣 No parking which is the only downside 🤷🏻♀️ The hotel rooms has fantastic views of the Beach. If ya want posh stays then I suggest you book the Hilton which by the way has dreadful reviews.
Don't judge a book...
