The Fat Cat Cafe Bar — Restaurant in Wales

After years of avoiding this place after a bad experience I decided To give the place another shot, I asked the bar man for the menu we sat at the bar and waited he then told us he would bring it over to the table where we waited another 10 Minutes. I ordered the vegetable lasagnea and my partner order a Cajun chicken wrap. And a portion of paprika fries. My lasagnea was under cooked the pasta sheets were still hard and under cooked the vegetable pieces were way to big it was nothing like a lasagnea the garlic bread had a strong plastic taste to it I barely touched my meal at all. The Cajun chicken wrap tasted nothing like Cajun chicken it was just a stirfry sauce , when the meal arrived I asked the waiter to bring me mayonnaise and it never arrived. To top it all off I'm sure our White Russian cocktails were made with gone off cream the whole thing had curdled on the top and just didn't taste right. Won't be...

A nice place with big windows on the front to people watch and a nice seating area outside at the back. It has a nice vibe and style with acoustic songs playing in the day. The staff were very friendly and chatty and prices were reasonable for drinks. We only had drinks in the day on a Thursday and Saturday here but made a point of popping in again the second time. Only issue was it was very quiet in the middle of the day with never any more than 4 other people in. In addition an alarm kept going off which after the 50th time got a little bit annoying although I'm sure that's not a regular occurrence. It's was ok in there. My friend and I went last night to check it out and possibly meet people. Maybe we went at the wrong time but at 10pm on a Friday it was completely dead and my friend said she found the music off putting. Needs to be a bit more lively that time of night to be enjoyable.

Our vodka and cordial drinks didn't taste right. Could possibly need a stronger brand. Was like drinking a glass of pure vodka.

The staff were nice and friendly but the bar needed more going on. We were better off staying at The Castle pub which shouldn't be the case for drinking...
