Had an absolutely horrendous experience here with diabolical service.

The staff wander around with your drinks not using the table numbers that you order to, they just walk around saying "coke" until someone takes it.

I was with a large group about 10 of us on a couple of tables, some of us were in the toilets when my friends orange juice came, he said the juice was his and the waitress placed the 2 drinks on the tray on the table, it was assumed the other drink which was a cider was for someone else on the table that was currently in the toilets. After everyone was back we quickly realised nobody had ordered this drink. After 30 minutes nobody came back for the drink so someone on the table had a few sips. 45mins to an hour later, a waitress storms over to the table and immediately addresses us with "do you have a receipt for that drink!" in the most loud obnoxious tone. We started to explain what had happened but she spoke over us and said that we need to pay for the drink. Thinking this is outrageous this isn't our mistake we didn't steal a drink you put it on our table without being asked. We again tried to explain what happened but again was spoke over by this waitress on a power trip, she said that if we didn't pay they wouldn't serve us anymore drinks. I can imagine this would be much worse for your company and your pub as the profit for 10 peoples worth of drinks for a night surely must out weigh the price of a cheap cider.

Long story short, disgusting way to be treated by staff, I understand accidents happen but it was the way this situation was approached and the manner that it was conducted in that...

Love wethers class pub. One lass behind the country. Dunno how she still has a job. 2 times I’ve been here recently and she’s been borderline hostile to be honest. Ordered some chicken with me pasta. Food comes out, dude hands my mate his burger and says it’s come with chicken strips for your meal I’ve put them on the plate. Cool. My food arrives. Still no chicken strips. Went to the counter. Recognised the lady who was hard work, to say the least, last time. So, I made a conscious effort to be mega nice. Asked where my chicken strips were as the test of me food had arrived. She snapped, the food had already been put in your table. She says the manager that took it out put them on the side of the burger. Not my meal. I told her well, that was my friends meal so they have been given to him. Any chance of getting mine. She was proper grumpy tbh. “It’s not our job to police who eats what on your table” I tried to explain calmly that my friend was told they had come with his meal, they were put on his bloody plate. She kept cutting me off and speaking to me like a child. To be honest I gave up and stormed off. Don’t know her name. But there’s no way I’m the first person to complain about her. Get...

I had a bad experience here but the duty manager made up for it! I order Fish and chips, the server (who was rude) brought it over - I cut into the fish and the knife wouldn't go through. Im not normally one to complain but this was not edible. I said to the server, the fish isn't edible and she took my plate and walked off. The duty manager came over and asked if I wanted the same again. I said as long as it isn't overcooked. He went off, came back a few minutes later and said the reason the fish was like that was because they had run out of flour for the batter. I was shocked he didn't already know this being the duty manager. I then said I will have the scampi instead - off he went, 5 minutes later he came back, I'm really sorry but I've just been informed we don't have any scampi. By this time my husband and child had finished their meals and I was still just sat there. He offered me a drink free if charge as compensation - needless to say this wasn't enough. I order a completely different meal, which was £3 cheaper than the original, no refund offered for the difference... He tried his best but overall, I...

Visited Wetherspoons Bangor and had a really bad experience. The service was unprofessional, and the food wasn’t great either. One of our drinks had a fly in it, and when we raised it with the staff, they told us the manager refused to replace it, saying it wasn’t their fault. That response alone shows a total lack of responsibility. They eventually gave us a new drink, but only after we insisted , and even then, we were told that if it happened again, they wouldn’t do anything about it. It didn’t stop there. One of my friends didn’t get her food because they accidentally served it to another table , and shockingly, they just took it back from that table and gave it to us. That’s unacceptable from both a hygiene and a customer service point of view. What’s most frustrating is that no one in charge seemed to take the situation seriously. The manager or whoever was responsible didn’t show any care or effort to fix things properly. Overall, it was a really disappointing visit, and we won’t be coming back. Basic respect and food hygiene were completely lacking.

This has been my local spoons for a good few years now and it's great, I wouldn't change much about it, however I came here for a warm meal last week with a good friend of mine. I thought I would order something new for a change so I got the ham and cheese panini, food arrived swiftly and I was excited to tuck in to my well deserved meal however... after biting into my panini as you can see in the photo there was little to no ham. Leaving me to eat a baguette with a texture resembling a piece of cardboard with little to no cheese or any flavour other than the bread. I will still come to this spoons just a warning about the ham in the paninis for others. 7/10

Me and a group of friend went here for drinks and a meal. The food is OK, with nothing being exceptionally great about it. I ordered a Chicken BBQ melt and the meat was incredibly dry. In the words of Gordon Ramsey, it was literally like eating Ghandi's flip-flop. The environment is not too good, as it is very dark, with no air flow whatsoever, and a terrible smells of fried food and spilled ale. Tables are not cleaned regularly, meaning that your table or tables around yours will be sticky, full of dirty dishes and most likely spilled food. On the positive side, drink selection is really good and prices are very affordable.
