We arrived at China Hot Chilli around 6:45pm on a Friday evening and were quickly shown to a table. We ordered food and drinks around 7pm and asked that the appetisers and mains could all come out together. Around 7:20pm a portion of lukewarm Pork Spring Rolls arrived at our table, and we waited patiently for the remainder of our meal. Whilst we were waiting the table next to us enquired as to how long their food would be, as they were attending an event at 8pm (the same event we were also attending). The waitress said she would find out and instantly returned with their food. We waited a few more minutes, expecting the rest of our dishes to appear, but no sign. We approached the bar at 7:50pm to enquire about the remainder of our meal and was told that they only have two chefs on tonight and that our food will be another 10 minutes. At which point we opted to leave as we would have no time to enjoy our meal. We asked to pay for what we had received upto that point 5 beers, 2 soft drinks (which were cans from an ASDA multipack) and the pork spring rolls...only to be over charged. The waitress was insistent that we had also been served chicken satay skewers (which we had not) and had to check with other members of staff to see what had been delivered to our table. Talk about adding insult to injury. Eventually, it was agreed that we had not received the skewers, paid up and left hungry. We were never informed of an extended wait whilst being seated and if we had, we would have gone elsewhere and tried China Hot Chilli another day, but safe to say based on this experience, I won't...

Extremely Excellent original Sichuan Chongqing cuisines were enjoyed today. Enjoyed the Hotpot Hogo as I had enjoyed earlier in Chongqing. Would definitely strongly recommend for all to relish on this very original Sichuan cuisines.

Lovely Chinese restaurant with nearby free parking. Welcoming, cheerful atmosphere, generous portions of subtly flavoured dishes. We had visited again today, the New Year ie. 1 January’2024. Which was a tasty selection of prawn starters. Then for mains, we enjoyed the regular Hotpot Hogo , plus noodles and our favourite chicken in red hot chilies etc. It was all delicious. It is definitely a very super place to eat. Most of the other customers seemed to be Oriental, and many locals too, which is itself a great recommendation in itself. Just remember it is a CASH only place. I have been coming to this place regularly for the last three years , mainly because of the Extremely Excellent original Sichuan Chongqing cuisine chef cum owner, who is definitely one of the best in the world. Mind you I have been travelling all over the world. Incidentally, I have been visiting China from 2004 and have tasted some of the best Sichuan’s cuisines in mainly Chongqing and Chengdu and the nearby Sichuan Province areas.

Thanks again for the...

Sadly I cannot give the China Hot chilli a good review. The reception was nil. the inertia needs a major overall and the waiter need to be taught how to speak politely to the customers. The fact all other restaurants we tried were full and the China Hot Chilli was completely empty spoke for its self. One of the two starters which were the same were missing prawns. The meals looked like fry-ups from a previous meal. One was duck and the other beef however they were pretty much the same colour with the meats cut into very small sizes, both saturated in the same source and tasted the same, The ribs where cut in to very small sizes, overcooked and again smothered in sauce. The service was very poor and from the look of the place they appear to not care less. For what was served it was overpriced, definitely would never go back...

The décor is a little bit rough and ready, it feels a bit like a studenty cafeteria, but the food was delicious. There were only two slight issues that mildly bothered us but they were by not problematic enough that it stopped us from enjoying our experience. Firstly, they have the same menu for the whole day... We felt that they could have benefitted from a lunchtime menu of lighter dishes. Secondly, most of the dishes were very oily, however that's a characteristic of Szechuan cuisine, so there's not much you can do about it. Szechuan food has a reputation for being super spicy, but don't let the intensity of the red in the dishes scare you they had plenty of milder options to choose from too. Looking forward to coming back to try the hotpot.

Lovely Chinese restaurant with nearby free parking. Welcoming, cheerful atmosphere, generous portions of subtly flavoured dishes. We had the chicken & sweetcorn soup, sesame prawn toast, satay chicken skewers, pork ribs with minced garlic & spicy salt, which was a tasty selection of starters. Then for mains, we enjoyed sweet & sour king prawns, duck with green pepper in black bean sauce, plus noodles with beansprouts and rice. It was all delicious. The only drawback was a lack of citrus type dishes on the menu...and no lemon slices to go in drinks! But anyway, super place to eat. Most of the other customers seemed to be Oriental, which is a great recommendation in itself! Just remember it's CASH only!

Lovely polite, attentive and happy waitresses began my fantastic experience, followed by what I can only describe as absolutely fantastic food to take away. Very impressed, unlike the majority of Chinese restaurants, the chicken chow mein, I ordered was not boiled, rubbery strips but fantastic perfectly cooked morsels of wonderfulness. The seaweed and prawn chow mein, I asked for not listed on the menu was excellent. Overall the best and nicest Chinese experience in north wales. Super generous on the prawn crackers; great value for money at £26 I am changing our usual Chinese in favour of this incredible restaurant!
