The Harrogate Clinic — Attraction in Great Britain

O shot review: Four years ago, I was a happy newlywed, enjoying life and my dream job I had worked hard to secure. My life was turned upside down when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. A small tumour, 1 cm, stage 2, no evidence it had spread through my lymph glands, however post-surgery pathology found my tumour was the dreaded triple negative. Likely to return in the first five years. Which changed the treatment plan to include chemotherapy. Several potential side effects of chemo were explained to me, I had hair loss from my head, eyebrows, eye lashes, and entire body. I looked like an alien. Blisters in my mouth, loss of finger and toenails, the veins in my lower chemo arms collapsed and have never recovered, this arm now appears disfigured. One side effect was mentioned briefly “vaginal dryness.” At the time it was the last thing on my mind, I gave it no more thought, much bigger problems to face. Radiotherapy can change your breast, and it did. The skin has hardened and changed colour. As a preventative measure I has prescribed Letrozole, which blocks your body’s ability to absorb oestrogen, although my tumour was not oestrogen driven it could help prevent further tumours. It also brings symptoms of the menopause including further vaginal changes. Every six months I have further treatments at the chemo ward to try to protect my bones. It is fair to say that I do not have the same relationship with my body. I have survived four years, lost the dream job, and revalued my career, regrew my hair, and started to dare to look the future not the present. My husband has been patient and my rock, it was time to try to overcome one of the negative effects of treatment, painful vaginal dryness and get that part of our life back. After a fair amount of research I found PRP treatment, also known as the O Shot, was available at the Harrogate Clinic, where Dr Khan provides the treatment. Nervously I contacted her and found in my consultation I was put at complete ease. As well as aesthetics she has a background in gynaecology and understood the effects of chemo and Letrozole can have on your body. On the day of the treatment I found the clinic to be clinically clean yet warm, welcoming, and very chic. Dr Khan again put me at ease, reassured me, answered fully all questions I had. The procedure itself sounds a little scary, but I can assure you it is uncomfortable but not painful and was tailored to my individual needs. The treatment is regenerative and after a few weeks there is a noticeable difference, sex is still a little uncomfortable but no longer painful for the first time in years. Ladies do not suffer in silence, vaginal dryness is hardly mentioned during your cancer battles, as if it is a taboo subject, PRP is a natural and effective treatment, we cancer warriors deserve to live our lives to the full. This weekend for the first time I experienced a different level of care at a dental clinic, in my opinion this is the standard that all dental practices should strive for. I was fortunate enough to have caught Dr Ghasemi as was leaving the clinic on a Saturday afternoon, having just delt with another emergency, she kindly turned around, just so that she could see to me and the unbearable pain I was in. For this matter alone, I was extremely greatful, she really understood the pain I was in and was sympathetic towards my situation. Upon walking into the clinic I was taken back at how modern and classy the place was, nothing like any of the surgery's I had visited before, which was very refreshing. For one it was absolutely immaculate! I have to say whatever insence they use, it smelt amazing! I instantly felt comfortable, relaxed (says no one ever, who is going to see the dentist) and just generally very welcome there. Having turned everything off to go home, I had to wait 10 minutes while Dr Ghasemi switched everything back on and got heself sorted, which I had no problem with, but to my surprise she came through with a glass of room temperature water with slices of lemon and mint leaves knowing my tooth was sensitive to hot/cold. I was very touched she had the care and thought to do this for me, which is why I had to mention this in my review obviously. After having such a great experience from the moment I arrived to the surgery, it seemed to settle me. I knew from that moment I was in good hands, and that was exactly the case. Unfortunately Dr Ghasemi's assistant had left for the day, and so it was just her doing the treatment, but to be honest after having had the teatment I didn't see the need for one. You can tell that she is vey experienced in what she does and a very qualified dental surgeon. She worked very efficiently, I felt no pain at all, and to be honest I didnt even feel her injecting my gum god knows how many times. She looked very focused, all while talking to me, keeping my mind busy and distracted for the 1.5hr treatment. I honestly cannot recommend her enough, she has such a great way with people and knows how to make you feel comfortable and cared for. And with regards to the cost, well I didn't really think it was anything different to what I had been paying in the past, which surprised me as it felt very reasonable and specially with the fact it was an emergency call. All in all, I left extremely pleased with my experience at the Harrogate Dental Clinic! Thank you so much Dr Ghasemi, I'll be seeing you for all my dental care...

I LOVE this place, and I LOVE the people who work there! I found it when looking for places that do laser hair removal last year. I had very stubborn hair of varying levels of darkness, from blonde to dark brown, which means that it can be harder to get it all with laser, but Dr Ghasmi is genuinely dedicated and feels completely invested in making sure you walk away happy and with the result you came in for. They've also recently replaced their old laser unit with a much more powerful diode model, and you can definitely feel the difference it makes! I also recently got a profacial there, which left my skin feeling and looking incredible and was just a really nice and relaxing experience.

All the staff who work there are really lovely people and there's never been a moment where I've felt like they just saw me as just another client. I genuinely am going to find excuses to go back to The Harrogate Clinic even after I'm completely done with laser hair removal. You go in feeling like a customer, and you leave feeling like a friend. Laser hair removal was the first step I took in beginning my gender transition, and so when I first walked in there I was feeling incredibly vulnerable. At my initial consultation, I was so nervous when telling Dr Ghasmi the reason I was getting laser hair removal. In response, she looked me in the eye and said "Oh, we are going to make you beautiful!" and she has been super supportive throughout, as excited as me about every step of my transition! Shoreh isn't just the manager who'll help you at The Harrogate Clinic, she'll be a friend and a cheerleader for you. Her and Georgina are two people I'm so thankful for having the pleasure of meeting and getting to know at my time at the clinic.
