Had the pleasure of visiting this indoor skatepark yesterday. I decided it was too hot to go rolling outside, so I went to The Loading Bay instead, hoping it would be cooler and/or have the benefit of air conditioning. Sadly it did not, so going mental in their large bowl was not really an option, after 15mins I was knackered! The park is open to all ages, parents must accompany children under a certain age. During the summer holidays they run a boot camp style daytime coaching session for the kids, and today this seemed to be taking place in their form pit/trampolining area. As well as two trampolines and foam pits, there is also a large quarter pipe in the room, with curved launch kicker into the left hand foam pit. During my visit one girl around 10-12? manged to be coached into backflipping on her own after about 15mins of coaching! Which I thought was awesome. One of my videos has her doing the flip on her own in the background after her coaching finished. There is a street section outside, which is also visible from the "loading bay" entrance door, which they left intact but modified into a sliding electric door by cutting into the metal and keeping the shattered rolling bay door closed. The street section is fenced off with a chicken wire style fence, and there's seating here too so you can keep an eye on your little ones whilst sitting in one of the only two cooler areas in the whole building. Sadly due to the heat, I mostly just practised some flips into the foam pit. Still well worth the entry fee just to do this for 3 hours. I wanted to put more time into the large bowl, as you cam see in the pictures it's very deep and great for carving your way around, or getting a good flow and grinding up on the coping. The coping had a great slide in it, and you're able to get a good grind enough to switch up into 3 different tricks โ€” beyond my level but the other blader who was there was getting uber-long grinds, switching from soul to backside royale to backside unity before dropping back in. While I was cursing I left my phone on the canteen area! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜ญ Yes, there is a canteen, where food, hot and cold drinks are for sale. They also sell parts for skateboards and scooters.

Brilliant place to take the kids on a rainy day, and even when it's not raining, great park for kids to use skateboards, scooters, inline skates and BMX, they even offer lessons to help kids find there feet. Food is great love the healthy snacks available in the cafe, the tea, coffee and hot chocolate are great, staff are laid back and down to earth and always happy to help the trampolines foam pit and ramp are a favourite.

I have been here a couple of times so feel my review would reflect my experiences only. The staff are friendly and the facilities is great, so many options and different obstacles to use. The food/drink at the cafe has always been up to a great standard and the weekly offers are great value. The hire equipment option is also great and I have used plenty of times; the Loyalty card is also an amazing adaption too. My only complaint is about how busy it gets, being slightly newer skaters it is very hard to get any practice in when other skaters are riding towards you. Iโ€™ve found it daunting all of the times I have been there as more experienced skaters are very visibly looking down on us. To all the skateparks I have been at this one has had the worst skate culture I have seen. I know they do lots of different student nights and sessions, but this is just my experience only. The skateparks great, foods great, equipments great, but the atmosphere is not. I will be back but only when I can do hard...
