If I could give Zero star I would! The pictures are deceiving, the space of the caffe it's really small and when full it gets very cramped. A café so small should not be dog friendly... For hygiene reasons and for people with allergies. I was gifted a complementary spa brunch with my treatments, so I went to this café. 3 dogs were inside and one was sitting on the table reserved for myself and my partner which is allergic to animals. We ordered something to drink, but I really wanted to leave the place immediately because I was uncomfortable and worried my partner will develop a reaction. The girl that brought our drinks was incompetent to say the list, she didn't pay attention to who ordered what and gave all to my partner. Never looked at me once and kept her attention only on my partner, although looking annoyed at what he was saying. Honestly if people don't like their job or do not have patience for costumers, they should do something else! The menu wasn't for me ... So we left without eating anything or drinking anything, because at the point I was very very uncomfortable. Luckily the spa understood the situation and took the brunch away...
Read moreI recently visited the charming Ocho Canal Side Café, and it was a delightful experience! The atmosphere is cosy and relaxed, with beautiful views of the canal that make it a perfect spot for a leisurely lunch.
I decided to try their toasted sandwich and tomato soup, and I was not disappointed. The sandwich was perfectly toasted, with a crispy exterior and a soft, flavorful filling. They offered a variety of options, and I chose the classic ham and cheese. The combination of savoury ham and melted cheese was simply delicious.
The tomato soup was the highlight of my meal. It was rich and creamy, with a hint of herbs that really elevated the flavours. It paired wonderfully with the toasted sandwich, creating a comforting and satisfying meal.
The service was friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed without being intrusive. Prices were reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and the picturesque setting.
Overall, I would highly recommend Ocho Canal Café for anyone looking for a cosy spot to enjoy a great toasted sandwich and a bowl of comforting tomato soup. I look forward to returning and trying more...
Read moreA beautiful brunch spot on the canal! Small and intimate atmosphere. We booked a table, which I would advise as it is a limited number of tables. Toilet is just one large cubicle, clean and presentable but couldn't help notice the child's high chair is stored in here next to a toilet that's flushed often with the customers coming in and out. Although I can see why it would be kept here to make space inside cafe it just felt a bit uncleanly if a child is to be eating from it.
Dog friendly with a variety of treats for the dog if the dog comes along.
And the long and short of it all is Would I...
