Canvas Glasgow — Hotel in Great Britain

Canvas seem to have rented their courtyard to bagpipe bands for rehearsal, so seems like you have to deal with intolerable levels of noise all day for a week. Acoustics of the courtyard have been designed poorly such that noise carries and echoes, can hear most of what people outside are saying - even with window closed. Bin rooms are covered in dirt juice and other trash and is absolutely not cleaned frequently. Drains get clogged often - there seem to be deep plumbing issues throughout the whole building. And, as the EP certificate shows, there’s inadequate cooling options in the building leading to overheating (26+ degrees inside in the summer).

There is no good reason to book this place, most of the good reviews are a result of the staff saying you can win money if you give a review. The staff are lovely, but find somewhere else to live. Try to avoid anywhere that is owned...

Does not even worth the 1 star , do not believe them! Do not store your stuff in the storage of this student accommodation cause they will trick you !

I trusted the staff cause I have been living there for 2 years and they stole all my stuff . Expensive and valuable stuff were stolen while I thought that my belongings are save , packed and stored in the storage while I’m away !!! . When I asked them about my stuff they told that they donate them ! Without even giving me any notice? My stuff worth the whole year rent !!

And now nobody is replaying to me ! I’m trying to reach out for everyone to help me .unfortunately, no one is answering me ! I can not even sleep because of that . I will reach out for police to get my rights if that required !!! And I will never recommend this to anyone or live there again ever!! Please be aware about this before you...

It’s been an absolute pleasure living here, the place is very clean and tidy and the staff is very professional. The community manager Lindsey McAlister and Gary Martin the assistant has been excellent at responding to any issues we have had while our stay in the building.

The building overall is very well maintained and the staff does there best to make sure that this is a safe space for students. I am an international student and it is very difficult to move to another country - it takes time to understand the culture and the language but the staff has never once treated me differently because of my background. They talk slowly to you and help you if you don’t know the language!

Lastly, five starts for excellent service. The people here really do care about your well being and health and safety! One of the best decisions I made in Glasgow...
