My husband and I happened to stumble upon this restaurant not knowing that you had to make a reservation, so we felt apologetic as we entered and the owner seemed kind to let us in. We had been traveling around and ate a small meal beforehand, but wanted to eat something before heading back to our hotel for the night. However as we proceeded to request an order for 1 main dish and 1 appetizer to share together, the owner shamed us loudly in the restaurant and said "I cannot serve you like this, one dish and one appetizer, you did not even make reservation and I still let you in!?" Wow, never have been treated so absolutely rudely by someone in a restaurant, especially by the owner in my life. I've seen other comments by the owner commenting on other people's posts when they felt unsatisfied with their service, quite frankly I don't feel impressed by his character. Business is one thing to make money which we understand but treating other humans with simple reciprocated respect is another. I don't see they go hand in hand in this restaurant. I felt ashamed sitting there after he had yelled at us loudly. We considered ordering something else but decided we didn't need to give such a person our hard earned money so we simply left and said THANK YOU as polite and decent human beings. Never have we seen such appalling behavior anywhere else in Scotland. The waiter who had seated us seemed kind so kudos to him. Fostering a culture of shaming inside a restautant is quite shameful in itself. Customer is not always right? Well that is an oversimplified excuse on his part for his foul attitude. Just read the comments from the owner and you will see for yourself this guy's character. Sadly his comments clearly show a lack of self awareness...

We 4 of us walked in to the restaurant, had a table close to the wall. The manager (who seems to be its owner) walked to us with 4 menus. Later on when we were ready to order, there was something on the menu, a dish which we didn't understand what that was. So we asked him "can you please tell us what this is? Then he was like, "Hey, please order what ever in the menu, and I can't tell you anything much and he said "I had very bad experience with your ethnicity". We were so shocked to have such a response from such a Turkish restaurant.
I said to the guy, Listen "we are here to have some food and we were nice to you and expect to be treated the same. And he goes" I don't want to talk to you guys too much, please have your food and lets finish it here.
We said to the guy (owner) that we have so many of Turkish friends and we have been to many Turkish restaurants all around the country but this was the strangest experience we ever had.
Understandable, He might have had any bad experience with some people in his life, that has got nothing to do with us. Our fantastic day was ruined by this guy's racist approach and was really upset.
Then later on, when we were about to leave, we paid the bill and walked up to his counter, and I said to him," the food was amazing, but the way you treated me, my uncle and his friends was really shocking, bad and insulting and we walked away!! Would never go back again :(
But can't deny the fact that they served some...
Read moreI wish there was a way to rate something negative on Google. Asian woman has some serious behavioral issues and should not be working in hospitality industry. A place like this deserves to be closed and boycotted by everyone.
I made a reservation for a party of 8 for dinner booked for dinner and was carrying our 2 month old. The woman misheard and offered us a spot for 7, and when I politely asked her to make room for another table, she quite aggressively muttered to her colleague, "They're trying to tell me what to do."
My wife stepped in and requested a separate table for two of us with the baby but the lady kept ignoring and mumbling. She was so unkind that despite our repeated requests, she continued to ignore the baby in our arms even though the restaurant was obviously not busy. Then she went on to say “Woh WOW! they are telling me what to do?” And this time it loud and could be heard across the hall?
Now you be the judge? should you be going to a restaurant which has employees with narcissistic...
