I visited this excellent real ale and real cider pub 3 minutes away from the Albion / Phipps real ale house on Saturday 9th April 2022 This pub is a great real ale house, and i was so impressed with the staff clientelle and propper pub feeling to the place Lyndsay behind the batmr was so helpful today in ordering me a taxi to northamptons football ground. It's not very often I go to Northampton......only to see my team Plymouth Argyle play. However, we got stuffed. Met a couple of Argyle fans who, like me, were trudging back to the city centre. We got talking about the unfairness of losing!! And we found this real ale pub so we decided to drown our sorrows......well a couple of pints anyway. Very good choice of real ales and they tasted even better with some dry roasted nuts. We sat outside in the beer garden and yapped......and it was all quite pleasant......next away match here we come .....it's still...

Lovely pub, in the Good Beer Guide. A good selection of ales and a selection of ciders too. ATM because of Covid rules, it's table service only and you must wear a mask at all times except when seated at your table. Even tho it's table service the staff are more than happy to explain the variants of the ale available, also more than happy to provide a taste sample. Half our party were ale drinkers, half cider and both agreed the pub had good choices. Highly...
