Extremely disapointed. I would not recomend it for children's themed parties. I booked the theme party pack for my little one's birthday party unfortunately I ended up decorating the party myself - plates, cups, napkins, themed table centerpieces and party bags, all of which I brought myself. I was only given a table cloth and 3 very cheap quality baloons by the cafe. On arrival the cake was displayed on the table but no snacks or drinks were placed. Their food promised was not delivered in full. No staff was there to serve to the children I ended up hosted it myself. Very slow service children lost patience, they became frustrated and got bored of waiting for their food. Cushions on the chares had pretty bad brown stains some children refused to sit on them. The staff started picking up the table before the party had finished and children started to leave before my little one blowed the candles on the cake and before the cake was cut.The owner is unfair and took larger deposit then the one asked on the website. Very disapointed not...
Read moreWe went for Mother’s Day afternoon tea, which we’d booked in advance. Definitely glad we did as the food was lovely. Fresh and homemade. The sandwiches were as fresh as we could have possibly asked for! Scones and the cakes were lovely. They were understandably busy and whilst we waited for the main food the staff brought us all complimentary bowls of snacky crisps and refreshed the drinks. They apologised for the wait, but it really wasn’t so bad as it gave us time for a tea/coffee and chat before the food came which was actually nice as didn’t feel rushed at all. Some places make you feel like you need to be in and out on busy event days. It is quite a small tea room so do be prepared to move your chair out the way so people can get by you to their table if you sit at the far end. Really good value as well. It was £17.95 so for 4 people £71.80. Service and good were good with unlimited drinks so tipped and paid £80. Photo taken after we forgot and ate...
Read moreBooked for afternoon tea for four as a treat for an 86 year old lady whose birthday it was. Unfortunately they had a baby shower in and a children's party which was just finishing as we arrived. For the price, £10 per head, the food was fresh although the choice of fillings for the sandwiches was limited, cheese and onion, ham and tomato & cheese. Unfortunately although we had booked they had run out of jam and cream for the scones( which were delicious) and had to send out to the local shop to get some for us. We received sincere apologies, from I assume the owner, and the service was friendly and helpful, however, the noise levels were very high, it's only a small cafe, and the wait for what are basic essentials of an afternoon tea did detract from the enjoyment. Perhaps we were unfortunate in picking a busy Saturday lunchtime and might try again midweek when it might be quieter as the food was...
