Old Courthouse Gallery — Attraction in Lakes

Love this gallery, have been visiting for decades, when here on holiday. Always find new and interesting things to buy, being keen on supporting our wonderful artisans. The Gallery has a great range of items, paintings, ceramics, jewellery, sculptures, glass to name a few and a wide range of prices. The Old Courthouse Gallery is a regular visit for us, whenever we’re in Ambleside. A lovely space to walk around and enjoy the atmosphere. A great place to find an inexpensive, original gift or a show stopper piece of art. Northern artists are a gallery staple. We visited today, had a long chat with Caroline (co owner) and spent a very happy half hour just wandering around. Absolutely amazing art gallery! I’ve not visited a gallery with such a unified collection as this one. Although all the pieces were different, from blown glass art, pottery, painting, furniture it felt it all belonged to one collective. The curators are doing an incredible job!
