We are timeshare owners, and we have done many swaps to other timeshares. In our experience the cleaning standards at Lakelands are High, we found no issues. ||The location is fantastic, the views are fantastic, it’s great to have the outdoor space, which is a sun trap, The apartments are nicely done out, a decent size and have a well equipped kitchen. The beds are comfy and the bedrooms have loads of wardrobe space. ||Perched on the hill you get a quiet and relaxed location, yet a short walk down the path you are quickly into the hustle and bustle of Ambleside, and all the shops, pubs, cafes, takeaways and restaurants, ||The shower is great and our sleep 6 has two toilets.||There are loads of great walks you can do from the accommodation, without having to drive anywhere. Tip download the AllTrails app. ||The swimming pool is great, personally I would like the option of booking it for an hour for private use (which is available at another timeshare we own). I totally understand the need for CCTV cameras and rules to comply with Health and Safety regulations. I suspect the people who complain about the CCTV and the rules, would be the first to complain if there was an incident. ||We have seen a lot of improvements over the years, well done to Lisa and the team for the behind the scenes work to ensure visitors have a great time, staying at the Lakeland’s,when visiting this amazing...

Just returned from another brilliant relaxing week at The Lakelands. The apartments here must be amongst the very best Ambleside has to offer. Location is superb: set above Ambleside, with parking, but incredibly close to all the town has to offer. We can walk to Zefferelli's in less than 5 minutes!|Apartment 11 has a generous lounge and balcony with fabulous views, whatever the weather, across to Loughrigg. It also has two large double bedrooms upstairs with a smart bathroom and, in the lounge, there is a double pull-down bed. The downstairs bathroom has an excellent shower too. The apartment is very close, across an outside path, to the pool entrance. The pool is lovely with huge picture windows looking across to the fells. |The whole complex is very well maintained and managed by Lisa and the staff who are so friendly and helpful and sort out any minor problems...

The apartment was cleaned on the surface. There was dust on the bathroom extractors, the doors, the back of the mirrors, on top of the wardrobes. The kitchen area also dirty and filthy on the extractors, space between fridge and cooker. There was also some cobwebs. ||When I raised the issue with the person in charge, I was informed that there was no cleaners on duty, that they are self employed and only come on Saturdays. We had a week's booking which was ending on the Saturday so that was not helpful. We were also told that the budget had been used for new swimming pool and sofa in our apartment! The person in charge said they would do what they could but the only difference we saw when we returned from our excursion was the cobwebs and everything else was still dirty.||We just had to get on with it, and focused on enjoying...
