Ralphy’s Café Morecambe — Restaurant in Lancaster

The worst experience I’ve ever had and the customer service is diabolical. They got our order wrong, one of our children was left without a meal for over half an hour. When they did bring the food it was wrong. No apology, asked to speak to the manager and I was just left waiting. Then to go upstairs and find nobody was coming and 3 of the staff were rude and abrupt blaming me for getting the order wrong. I understand them being busy and clearly understaffed, but the staff who are here should be trained and better experienced at dealing with stressful situations. The downstairs dining area is cold and smelly and located right next to the toilets. The smell is clearly an issue as there are air fresheners above tables around the lights. People left as we got here and we spent 2 hours here and there table wasn’t cleared. AVOID WHEN THIS...

Coffee went cold super quick. Cloth being used to wipe the coffee machine pipes was filthy (didn't see this until leaving). Overall the place was unclean and unhygienic. Lots of dirty cobwebs, particularly in the basement where the kids play area is. Bathrooms not clean.. layers of old dust on top of switches for example.. came down with food poisoning later on today. This was the only meal I ate before I became ill and given the timescale it can only be from here. And given what we saw in the kitchen before we left the place I am not surprised. All food contaminated with each other. Not that clean. No care on keeping a hygienic kitchen... really do not recommend here. Allow any dogs to come in, which is nice but...

Festive afternoon tea! My friend joined me for afternoon tea on a windy Monday afternoon. The selection of food was great, mini yorkie's with pig in blanket, gammon and peas with a pot of gravy, 3 freshly made sandwiches plus cheese and biscuits Follwed by the usual scones with j&c and some awesome christmassy sweet treats. My favourite was a cute little gingerbread man. Everything was homemade and delicious. Although it was way too much for me to eat everything, it was a fantastic treat at home later on.
