this would be Morecambe bay where the poor cockle pickers met their fate & many others.. me and my partner did not even realise the dangers and took a long deep stroll to the sea. I did think it was odd that the sand attempted to steal my trainers lol however we made it back safely without knowing what could have happened. I would not recommend allowing your dogs to roam freely and listen out for the tide sirens if you must go. nobody expects it but the dangers are high due to the speed of the tide & blocking you in. YouTube Morecambe bay tide and see for yourself. perhaps a few clear warning signs would have been helpful :)

Apart from not realising the sand was very wet when closer to the water and sinking into the dense watery sand.. and having to ski through the muddy sand ruining my shoes and coat. This was an extremely pleasant beach! The scenery is so beautiful you can Pendlehill from here. There was fisherman catching fish and lots of boats. The sand (where it was dry was so lovely clean an soft it was covered with shells! Excluding my inappropriate footwear I had a very nice time at morecambe bay and will definitely be visit again!

Unfortunately there are signs saying no dogs allowed between May and think it said October on the beach between certain locations, forgot to take photos of the sign but they did say there was a fine imposed if caught walking ya dog on the beach, assume this is because some owners are not picking up their 4 legged friends poop. Also watch out for rip tides and quick sand so maybe not a good idea to wander to far away from the dry sandy beach when the tides out.

How can you not love all of morcombe Bay. Every beach has it own identity from fishing friendly , sunworshipping / relaxing friendly , twitter friendly (endless variety of birds ) family friendly or just for strollers /cyclists along the promenade . It maybe not loud and brash like its larger local cousin a short drive away but I am promised that it has a good night life catering for all . I live in leicester but visit my son in halton as often as possible just for the experience of walking the prom . Utter bliss in these troubled times . Well...
