Morecombe Beach has much potential especially with the Eden Project being built on it's sea front which will attract revenue to the town and visitors alike. However, in the current moment in time the sea front is looking very unloved, dirty and seedy. A poor man's Blackpool. Only one or two businesses have made an effort to present a smart fresh appearance. The majority have not bothered at all and it shows : fast buck for very little investment and the Council don't seem too concerned either. Even the Midland Hotel looks shabby externally despite the high prices they charge to stay there. It is hoped with the arrival of the Eden Project and their business ethos and environmental outlook it will embarrass businesses on the sea front to make more of an effort to attract custom. I certainly did not bother to waste any of my money in the town as a visitor save for the cost of a COSTA coffee before departing for the train. There was NOTHING that encouraged me to...

Visited with friends after many years. The town has had a lot of work done to the promenade area in the years I have been away and is looking amazing! There is a very wide, well designed pedestrian/cycling path which is a few miles long along the sea front. It has a lot of well designed structures, most with information about the area. And you have to have your picture taken with the statue of the late, great Eric Morecambe! Another surprise was that the town has still retained a lot of its 'old fashioned' feel I remember as a boy. Plenty of arcades with slot machines and cheap and cheerful activities 😁. The beach is still the familiar west coast of England hard-packed sand and "where did the tide go?" vista that always triggers the memory about those childhood family day trips. We even had a Mr Whippy's ice cream cone with chocolate flake - the classic '99' 😎. A great day out down a modernised version of...

A solutely stunning coastline. If on holiday or a short break in Morecambe when there is clear skies try to catch a sunrise or sunset from the promenade or anywhere along the front as it is spectacular. The beach itself is not your usual each due to the tide and some parts of the sands The beach itself can be treacherous due to the gast tides and quick sands so its not uour usual each as such, but the warnings etc are well known and very clearly visible, you cabt miss them. . Dont let that put you off walking along the prom and the pathways and the sea front itself, plenty to do and seez grab a coffee, or something to eat. Cant recommend it enough, even if just visiting Morecambe for a...

We loved it. Loads going on today as well for the kids. Good lot of entertainment. Parking isn't too bad. Managed to park in a car park for £2.20 24 hours.

Morecambe Beach is a true gem along the northwest coast of England. With its sweeping vistas and gentle waves, this picturesque stretch of coastline offers a wonderful retreat from the everyday. The high tides bring in the tranquil waters, perfect for a refreshing stroll, while the low tides reveal a vast expanse of sand, perfect for beachcombing and building sandcastles. The stunning sunsets over the bay are a sight to behold, painting the sky in vibrant hues. Whether you're seeking relaxation or adventure, Morecambe Beach delivers an unforgettable seaside experience that will leave you feeling rejuvenated and connected to the natural world.
