Read moreIt could be a beautiful park if more attention was given to it and it wasn't vandalised all the time. About 20 new trees were planted and all got their branches ripped off and broken in two by the local thugs. Lord Ashton's House us all boarded up. It's a shame it couldn't be turned over to the National Trust and restored to how it might have been when it was his home. Cars drive through the park, which spoils it too and there is a massive car park. Its great for walking dogs and playing football but I wouldn't go out of my way...
Read moreMy local park and I visit often for walks, passing through or to do my training. Too much traffic inside the park though, even with the new car park now, people still drive around to Ryeland's House or the nursery. The outdoor gym is a good addition but not comprehensive enough. It would be nice to see it extended, along with more things to do across the age span, not just for small children. More picnic tables and an all- weather pitch would also be nice. I love spending time here, though and especially enjoy sitting...
