The Bobbin — Restaurant in Lancaster

Avoid as there are better friendlier pubs in Lancaster. I understand the pandemic has been tough for all. This was probably our 6th pub of the evening and all apart from this one we received great service where the staff were friendly and welcoming. One particular female member of staff was sarcastic and basically rude to us. My friend is disabled and we were only asking genuine questions about what beer they had on offer as we could not go to the bar. Her reply "i only serve drinks i don't know anything about them" When she brought the drinks over I asked which was which as they were different. Her reply " If you can't remember what you ordered i won't be serving you anymore" Sorry but I don't like being spoken to like an idiot. I rarely leave negative reviews but felt this was justified. First time at the Bobbin and was a really great experience. The staff have really got the new restrictions down, with social distancing, table service and taking details at the door. The staff were really working hard as it was busy, we spoke to three of them and they were all so friendly and professional despite how busy they were. There was a small wait to order drinks that we were warned about when we went in but they were very apologetic and after we ordered we had our drinks within a minute. Been going to the Bobbin for a little while now and have usually enjoyed my experience and normally have a pretty solid time. However yesterday I was given change out of a 20 of which the £10 was fake, of which I didn't know since it came from their till. Few moments after when I try to use this tenner they refused the sale and took the money off me. Whereas I don't mind the amount of money that I have lost the principal of a company giving me a fake note to refuse it to me, makes me feel like I have been robbed. Almost. Such a shame and if it wasn't for this then I'd be giving the bobbin 4...
