When I was in Vietnam, I started looking for permanent accommodation and eventually found iQ Student Accommodation. First of all, the price here is reasonable ā neither too high nor too low, and it fit within my budget (Ā£150/week). Not bad at all, considering I had researched extensively, and many other places were more expensive. After reading reviews and looking at pictures, I noticed that the amenities and facilities here were quite convenient, which gave me a sense of the placeās prestige.
Additionally, iQ Student Accommodation is quite professional. They have a mobile app that's extremely convenient for staying updated and accessing services. If we need anything, we can simply use the app on our phones, whether itās for laundry, receiving parcels, or other needs.
When I moved in, I was warmly welcomed by the staff, who were incredibly accommodating and friendly. They showed me to the room I had reserved in advance and explained how everything worked ā such as the heating system, induction stove, and electrical outlets. The room had been fully refurbished, so everything felt brand new. At that time, I suddenly remembered when we moved in, we were given away something like tea, coffee and et cetera. I even remember that they decorated the place with balloons and had set up everything to welcome new residents. I really appreciated that thoughtful touch
Regarding the accommodation, I truly believe itās worth the money. The amenities here are superb and include everything I needāthereās a study room, a movie room, a game room with billiards, and even a party room. Thereās also a gym, which I know is essential for many people. And if you have a car, donāt worry because the parking lot is spacious. I also love my room, especially the view outside the window ā itās so relaxing and chilling which has the same vibe when I was in my room in Vietnam. The staff here are fantastic, especially the maintenance team which should not be overlooked. Up to now, I haven't had any major issues, but a few days ago, somehow my phone got dropped down into a narrow gap next to my bed and couldnāt retrieve it. Raza tried to help me, but the gap was too tight. He tried several times, but no luck. He then called the maintenance team, and they came by about two hours later. They are Harry and another staff member (maybe "Bob"). When they arrived, and to my amazement, they used a tool perhaps called a "flexible grabber claw" to pull my phone out in just 30 seconds. It was incredible! I would like to say a big thank you to Nia, Emily, Lucy, Raza, Joshua and the rest of the staff for always helping me out and making me feel so welcome. You have brought such positive energy and good vibes to my experience here. If I have the chance, I would love to stay at this accommodation again in England. And if any of my friends come to Leeds, I will definitely recommend this place to them. Thank you. Lovely jubbly,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA Heartfelt Thank You to Raja and Raza at iQ Leeds I honestly donāt know how to begin this, but I really want to express my deepest gratitude to the duo security staff Raja and Raza ā the incredible security team at iQ Leeds Student Accommodation. Yesterday, April 13th, I went to work around noon. I was so absorbed in my music that I wasnāt really paying attention, and somehow, I dropped my keys without even realizing it. Later that night, when I finished working and started checking my pockets, I was literally intimidated. My key was nowhere to be found, even after I checked several times. On my way back home, I felt completely hopeless, despairing. I didnāt know how I was going to deal with the situation, and I was really worried that Iād have to compensate for losing my key. But thenāeverything changed. After other residents kindly let me into the building, I rushed to the reception desk and found Raza there. He surprised me by holding up a key and asking, āIs this yours, Vinnie?ā I couldnāt believe itāit was my key! He explained that Raja had found it in advance near the lawn and handed it over. I was absolutely stunned. I had already assumed it was gone for good. I donāt even know what to say, except a huge THANK YOU to Raja for saving me from what couldāve been a very stressful situation. I ended up staying to chat with Raza for a while that evening, and he shared stories Iād never heard beforeāespecially about the security and safety policies of iQ Leeds. It made me realize just how trustworthy and well-managed this place really is when it comes to looking after its residents. On top of that, I want to thank Raza for always being so supportive and encouragingāespecially during times when Iāve felt most depressed or least confident. He once said to me, āYouāre usually so cheerful and energetic. Whatās got you looking so down today?ā That really touched me, because sometimes itās the little thingsālike someone noticing how youāre really feelingāthat remind you of who you are. Once again, thank you to Raja for finding my key and saving the day, and to Raza for the uplifting conversation and genuine kindness. If you're an international student looking for a place to stay, I wholeheartedly recommend iQ Leeds. This is a place where safety and care...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI spent my first year at uni here and at first it looked good but throughout the year I grew more uncomfortable. I will admit most of the issues came from my flatmates. One of them was loud enough to constantly interrupt my sleep and the other was so dirty and messy the kitchen became a nightmare. Towards the end of my stay I asked for the IQ staff to get involved because having to wave flies away as I cooked is disgusting. All they did was tell me to clean it myself. So the one causing the mess could get away with it and I had to clean up the entire kitchen with the only other flatmate who knew how to clean. Even if I didn't have a noisy neighbor my sleep would be interrupted anyway as fire alarms would randomly go off between 2am and sometimes even 4am. There was never any fires I'm assuming just people smoking. I also had issues with the bathroom. If you flush the toilet while running the shower it'll turn ice cold, this doesn't make the shower unusable it's just slightly annoying. Tho the toilet is just kind of broken as the water will constantly run unless you flush it an extra few times to stop it. The heating isn't that great, my radiator works but it doesn't do much so in winter I rely the most on blankets. You can't leave the heating on either it's set to timers of 5 minutes up to 2 hours. The window doesn't open much at all so I'd recommend taking fans with you for the hotter weather. I didn't open my window anyway because people constantly smoke outside my room. You're also not allowed anything on the walls at all, even command strips aren't allowed. All you've got is a tiny fabric board at the end of the room. An extra smaller complaint is laundry is expensive but I think that's more Circuits fault than IQs
I'm unfortunately having to stay again and I plan to avoid the kitchen as much as I can and I'll be buying earplugs. Insult to injury the rent cost increased by £440.
I really hope I'll have better luck finding my own place for my third year as I'm not looking forward to returning.
Just so I don't feel too mean about complaining so much; my bed was nice and big, I liked the amount of storage space, my desk was nice and wide so I never ran out of room and I got lucky and I had a nicer view than...
