Read moreThis park in the summer is great with heaps of people crowding the open fields. Also a decent park to play causal footy and rugby in. As a student it is always nice that the park is part of the daily commute to uni and town (especially on nice days). At first I heard many bad stories about walking through the park at night but having been through the park by myself in the darkest of nights its actually kinda calming and tranquil. With a group of mates nothing bad will happen to you at night (however especially for girls I would still say do not walk alone just in case you bump into a creep...
Read moreLovely old Victorian park with skate park and kiddies play area. Very easy access from surrounding streets and via numerous bus services that run through the city centre. Heaving in early summer but quieter during University holidays and winter. We had a nice stroll through today with the sun setting and the leaves falling all around. Pretty clean and tidy too - the only thing that lets it down a bit is the amount of graffiti, and in particular it's sad to see some of those lovely old trees defaced with it.
