Visited today, the new play area only opened this week so we were excited to go try it out. The kids aged 2-6 all loved it. The council have done a great job of making an inclusive play area so that everyone can enjoy it. As well as the new play area there's a great splash park which was very clean, a big sandpit area and a skate park. Plus a huge amount of green space and the band stand (where there was a brass band playing today). Impressively on a hot day the cafe didn't run out of ice creams and the toilets were decent. This is owned by the local town council and they do a great job with its upkeep.
There is a playground with swings etc. a skate park, a water park, a sand pit, (aka the beach) and plenty of grass to play on.
There is generally something going on in the Park. Most recent activity was the Youth engagement Day hosted by the local Fire Cadets. The May Day Fayre is run by the rotary club and in July the Carnival committee host the Summer Carnival culminating in all the vehicles stopping in the park.
