Steep hill is aptly named, it has a 14% gradient and has medieval cobbles. It takes you from the town centre up to the cathedral and castle area. There are shops and cafes along the way. I stopped at Bunty"s near the top, friendly staff and delicious Lincolnshire plum loaf. #purplenanatravels

Absolutely love browsing in the shops along Steep Hill. It's well worth the climb uphill to see lots of quaint and quirky shops, selling things you wouldn't find anywhere else. Lots of coffee and tea rooms. This is such a lovely area of Lincoln and well worth a visit.

Fabulous historic street in Lincoln that in Roman times formed part of the road from London to York. Cobbled picturesque street lined with lovely period architecture and independant shops and cafes. A steep climb as its name implies!!

I've done my workout for the year walking up that hill ( and next year ) ๐๐๐ It was beautiful with all the old buildings and cute little shops. Just dont bring a suitcase because those cobbled streets will damage those wheels!

It is very appropriately named. It is a pretty road with a mix of houses and shops. If you are concerned about needing a rest due to the incline they even proved a bench area part way up the hill.

Lovely area ,.must visit. Lots of independent coffee, art shops, restaurants and galleries. You can find there Information Centre, Jewish quarter, art gallery, chich, cathedral and castle.
