ABBAs musical legacy is filled with timeless classics and influential voices that defined a generation . It has crossed boundaries and touched our hearts for decades. After a hiatus of, over 40 years the iconic band has reunited for a show titled "ABBA Voyage." I am absolutely thrilled about the opportunity to attend this show. Read moreI wish I could have left a better review but unfortunately our night was ruined by the staff at the ABBA arena. The performance was fantastic, the music and lighting was top class however we were thrown out halfway through. We arranged fancy dress as most others did and completed the look with glow stick bracelets, unfortunately the staff did not take kindly to this and requested halfway through that we remove them, we complied and handed them over only for one of the stewards to accuse one of our party of assault. They were hauled backstage mid performance and we went with them for their safety. Behind the scenes the stewards were very aggressive and threatening, we attempted to reason with them and disputed their claims and they informed us that we would be removed by force. They further accused us of recording during the performance but were not interested in checking our phones even when we obliged. We left for the lobby upset that a member of our party had been falsely accused of assault. Whilst waiting for our transport to arrive the head stewards aggressive approached out party and accused us of verbally abusing another member of their staff, she approached with two other stewards in a confrontational manner and told us to leave immediately, we were lucky to leave with our coats from the cloakroom. Again, the performance was fantastic but completely ruined by the staff. We requested copies of CCTV footage to backup their claims but they refused, informing us that we were not entitled to that information. I think it would be worth seeing the performance however it is not as good as it would have been live and could otherwise be released in cinemas for almost the same effect. If you do attend I would avoid Stewards 001 and 063 as a precaution. I hope this review proves helpful...
Read moreWhat can one say about this place, except, Magical. Really, words can not describe this venue and the actual show. The way everything has been designed and created is just mind-blowing and fascinating. It takes you back to the 70s and the real ABBA. You really did think it was the actual ABBA on stage, just amazing. Words really can not describe the feeling, the emotions, the sensation, the love, and the memories of that great band. Then, at the end, when the real version of 21st century ABBA came on stage, it was very emotional in deed. The question to ask yourself after seeing this performance is, "Would you come back again?" The answer is 100% YES YES YES. If there was any downside, it would be the prices they are charging in the actual stadium for everything from merchandising to the bar. For example, a bottle of prosecco was £49 for the cheapest, a baseball cap was £18, a tee shirt was £35 and a pack of playing cards was £10. I know it cost a lot of money to build the venue and it has only been open for around 18 months or so, but they would sell 10 times as much merchandise if the prices were sensible, but it did feel as though you were being ripped off. The show programme was also a fortune at £18 each, again not that many sold, or did not seem to see a lot sold. But even with that bit of negative information, the show is a must to see, and 100% we will go back next year again. Thank you, ABBA, for doing such a fantastic show. It's...
