Disappointed 😞 Such a great addition to the area. The place looks great, good vibe, awesome outside space with plenty of sitting areas looking towards the canal... That is my positive... The negative, definitely the food and the service. Friday evening and half the food menu is not available, including the pizzas. We had the pizzas before under the previous ownership and they were pretty nice. The new ones, I couldn't tell as they were not available. They brought our food which was so dry! (The chicken skewers and the brisket). No napkins or cutlery, the lady said she was bringing it.... We had to end up going inside and collecting it ourselves after waiting for some time.... Cold food already. The table was filthy! You can see the pictures. I can't believe none of the staff offered to clean it every time they attended our table. It's bad to have a drink but, to have food on that disgusting table... Come on!! Basics! A mess ordering the food when they asked for the table number. There was no number but the barman insisted that there was. I had to go back out only to confirm that there was NO number! What a waste of time. The white wine was lovely, very nice... But £40 per bottle is too much. In summary, a lovely venue with great outdoors but they really need to improve in service, hygiene and quality of food. I hope this is seen as constructive feedback because I would love for the place to improve so we can visit again.

Jim&Tonic was not easy to find, because the signage from the highway was rather small and inconspicuous. We let Google Maps guide us and found it anyway. Directly on a ship canal, there were a few nice seating options in front of the restaurant. We sat for about 15 minutes without the staff taking any interest in us. A reference to self-service could not be found. I went into the restaurant so as not to have to wait any longer. Two people were at the counter here taking orders. When a young man became free, he didn't take mine, even though I waited patiently for 10 minutes and tried to find eye contact, but preferred to first collect the empty glasses outside. I guess they need every glass in the kitchen. Although there were only about 10 guests at the tables. In the meantime his colleague was also free. She kindly accepted my tip to place a notice about the self-service outside and then placed my order. Just to be sure, I asked how long it would take to prepare the meal, which she answered with about 15 minutes. We ended up waiting a good 25 minutes and then got a wrong variant of a wrap. The food was very tasty. We didn't need the salt and pepper and so on (see at the picture). At least in the kitchen someone knew their craft. Value for money was okay.

We pre-booked an a la carte meal here to concide with our trip to Abba Voyage. It seemed to be the only place offering food nearby. We did arrive an hour early, so we went in to have a couple of drinks before ordering our food. The server found us a table and told us that the a la carte wasn't available until 4 pm, so we had a look at the brunch menu instead. Nothing particularly grabbed us, so we opted to wait for the a la carte to start at 4 pm. We got the a la carte menu and discovered that the only difference between the two was the a la carte served steak and sea bass as an extra option, the rest of the menu was the same as the brunch. We ordered the chicken burgers. The food that was brought to the table was good, no complaints about any of it, large portions and decent chips. Our server (I think, according to the receipt was Iza, the girl wearing the purple trousers on Sunday 20th April) deserves a special mention as she was polite, prompt, well presented and went above and beyond to make our dining here a pleasant experience. Management, please pass on our thanks to her. If you are looking for a quick bite to eat before the Abba show or indeed just to chill beside the canal, then we can highly recommend eating here.

I would be suspicious of any reviews that aren't recent as this place appears to have changed owners/staff and likely aren't relevant. This place cannot be given anything more than a 1/5 and I would give 0/5 if I could, the service is possibly the worst I've ever experienced. It started off poorly since a very disinterested waitress told us there were no tables available without looking despite theres obviously being a few visably available next to where we were located. We asked the barman and he said he doesn't know because it's a seperate section and they're not related. Upon asking a again we were actually seated and that's when even more problems occured. We asked for a lemonade and peach syrup since that's what we had last time and they said they didn't have any despite us seeing they had a bottle on the bar. So we ordered a coke and water as well as our food which was tacos and a pizza. After waiting 15 minutes or so we ordered another drink which was lemonade. After about 25-30 minutes they brought over a pineapple juice but we said no it was a lemonade and they finally brought the lemonade. Around this time we heard another group behind us complain that their food took too long and they have to leave now because they were going to be late to something and so they only paid for the things that arrived. Around 45 minutes after ordering we were given some leftover tacos which were a mix of mushroom and chicken, which were clearly for that other group that had left but we were told they were on the house so we ate a few of them, but not all as we wanted to eat our actual meals not some cold leftover food. Around 5 minutes after this my chicken tacos and fries arrived lukewarm and pretty disgusting, the taco was soggy and the filling was lukewarm. Then another 20 minutes or so later, well over an hour after placing our order our pizza still hadn't arrived so we were planning on just leaving and making something else at home. As we were leaving the pizza was ready so we took it as takeaway. The pizza was cold, small and pretty disgusting.

The service here is absolutely abysmal. Most of the staff are standing around doing nothing the whole time and seem to be clueless about how anything works. The food takes a very long time to come and is terrible quality. They add a 13.5% service charge which given the service is dreadful is a real slap in the face. The staff and service previously were great so it seems like the new owners just replaced them with all new green staff that don't really know what they're doing to save some money. Highly reccommend avoiding this place until they get some...

I've visited Printhouse a few times after being very exited to try it out (the pictures on here look amazing). Unfortunately, however, it never really felt right.

The menu is all over the place (online ordering system doesn't include drinks that are being advertised on Instagram) and staff are very hard to get ahold of. Besides that, drink prices are very steep and are not prepared with any care.

The pizzas overall taste great. However, the second time we visited the order didn't go through and we had to wait over an hour for food that then turned out to be burned on the bottom. If it's a case of people coming in after us that are eating and leaving before us, I expect a little more effort than an apology that the printer didn't work.

Lastly, the Sunday Roast (again, very excited to try it). I thought it was slightly overpriced for the amount of food, and it was a weird mixture of some things being very salty and others being way too plain.

We booked a table over the phone and were told they also have lamb available due to the bank holiday weekend. We got there and found out they replaced the pork with the lamb, which could've been easily communicated on the phone to avoid disappointment.

All I can think of is that there needs to be a level of consistency across all their channels and menus. The random pop up of pasta on their social channels while only serving pizza and stew 99% of the time is confusing. Similarly, people finding the pub over Google maps will expect a wider selection of foods and are likely disappointed.

I do think the team needs to work on the menu and introduce a little bit of variety (and smaller snack options...

I’ve had mixed experiences here and have been meaning to write this for a while. I do love how they are very proactive with putting on events and deals. I’ve been to the oktoberfest last year and the bratwurst was delicious and the music playing was fun. I have been to two quiz nights of theirs as well. The first one was one of their earlier quiz night last november and we got the two for 1 pizza deal I believe and the two for one cocktails. The pizzas are quite nice but it was frustrating because I stood in front of the bar guy with I think a long moustache for ages and he could see me while he was making another drink. Around 15 mins before the happy hour was to end. I was the only one waiting in front of him. Then some other lady comes up quite a bit after me and starts chatting about the drink he’s making and then he proceeds to completely ignore me and ask her what she wanted! So I had to go to someone else and missed the happy hour deal. The lady who runs the quiz is absolutely amazing though and helped make it better. I tried again at the quiz night in January after telling my friends about the deals they have. But the younger guy and girl then tells me they don’t have a happy hour and it’s somewhere else even though I know they have and it’s advertised on their site and instagram and minutes after I go to the loo and see their happy hour poster advertised! That was really annoying and felt like they were lying on purpose for some reason? After that, the female staff brought over drinks and accidentally knocked it over one of us. It has put me off from going again since which is a shame to be honest as we...
