Wish I could give this place zero stars. I’d like to express my frustration towards the manager Raluca in the Beckton B&M as she was not allowing me to return a broken product. When I bought the product the dust pan was covered in cardboard packaging and at the time I did not see that it was broken, when I returned home and opened it I saw it was broken therefore not allowing me to properly use it. I came back to the store a week later to return the product with the receipt . I explained to the manager that due to the product being broken I would like to exchange it for a new one that wasn’t broken. She completely disregarded me and said no straight away without coming to me and looking at the product. She also claimed that the product was dirty and covered in paint when that was not possible as I didn’t even use it. Due to her ignoring me I got frustrated and upset. Not only was she ignoring me she was ignoring my sisters as well and claimed we were lying about the issue and accused us of having “attitude problems”. She was also not understanding what our problem was and just kept repeating its dirty it’s dirty. I was shocked by how rude she was and how she refused to help us. Every time I tried she just shut me down and pointed her finger at my face. I was absolutely shocked knowing the fact that this was the manager who was speaking to me like dirt. She kept saying I’m a liar and embarrassing me infront of everyone in the store. What made it worse was she exchanged and refunded someone else’s product infront of my face. I did not appreciate the smirks and the sly comments under her breath.

Read moreSo I bought a pack of clubs and aero which were 6months out of date. I did lose the receipt however I came back to the store and found the exact products on the shelves still sitting there months out of date. I took these to the till as my proof and the lady at the tills had the most disgusting attitude. Did not want to help and was very blunt and rude. She called for the store manager who did not even come out to try and resolve the issue just called the lady back and told her what to do. They allowed for an exchange however when exchanging the aero they said it was 10p even though i paid full price.
Even though i showed them multiple items still sitting out of date they did not want to help. All i wanted was an exchange, it’s not expensive and not a loss to me at all but was merely the principle. If your buying stuff from this store specifically make sure your checking dates because they certainly aren’t.
Hopefully the receipt i’ve shown can help management track down the employee with rude and ill mannered attitude and can teach her a thing or two about...
Read moreGeat selection of goods, however staff could be a bit more attentive to customers First time I shopped there a cashier didn't accept my form of ID for alcohol / cutlery set when clearly via my photo ID and appearance told them that I was of age, but stated the reason was cus my ID wasn't an accepted form and my partner who was with me at the time (and wasn't carrying ID) appeared to be too young. On one hand I applaud the policy if this is a consistent and fairly applied thing thing but I admonish them if the enforcement of such rules, particularly on that day and with the people involved may have been based on prejudicial or assumptive motivations. I don't have proof but the inconvenience alone was enough to knock a point off my rating itself. Every visit after this experience that has been little to no hassle, was able to purchase what I wanted with no questions ( which raises questions of my own about the consistency of the rule that was enforced upon me last time ) so while there's room to improve it's still a very solid...
