Conveniently located with parking but I have to say you might be better of at gallion reach. I have been here a couple times and there’s always a problem! Absolutely appalling customer service. -Shutting ovens 30minutes before closing time, then stating it takes 20 minutes to come on but you can have a cold sandwich. Why would you shut it before you close then and so early at that? -the amount of flies at times in this store is a serious health hazard which potentially can spread food borne illnesses and cause food poisoning. -the forever out of order toilet -first give bags for free literally go next day and then say we charge now? (Subway also do the paper bags… when do they charge for that?) -very rude staff with lack of customer skills who make rude faces and have serious attitude problems (this place really needs to retrain their staff) -the lack of cleaning or changing gloves when making sandwiches, I’ve seen them make 3,4 sandwiches in a row being tuna, chicken, bacon and veg but not changed gloves once? Unless asked? using the same knives when cutting each sandwich? What about the cross over contamination? The staff are either not trained in food or do not care about hygiene and safety. God forbid someone has allergies!! -the lady who was serving decided to talk in her home language to the manager whilst serving me ( I could understand and the fact that she thought I didn’t is extremely rude) -Bought a footlong and asked them to pack it separate as in 2 halves as my son wanted to eat one half now and one for later and got told if they did they would charge me for 2 separate 6inch subs?!! (I mean where is the logic in that) said they can give the paper do it yourself yes I will do thank you if you’re gonna charge me for a separate sub!!! Really that was the last straw really disgusted at the service and lack of it you are 100% better off going to the Gallions Reach store and it has longer times closing at 11pm except Sunday at 10pm. Usually the store is a 4/5 stars, however I am writing this 1 star review due to the discrimination i faced today. I hadn't eaten since early afternoon and chose to stop by before heading home as I was hungry. I was informed of the current £4.99 for a footlong offer by another friendly customer, however for some reason I was refused the advertised offer by the male staff member on shift. I was third in line to be served and watched and heard the two gentlemen before me be offered and redeem the offer mentioned above (both of whom were a different race to me). When I got to the till was told I'd have to pay full price & how the offer wasn't avaliable to everyone. When I complained about what I observed I was told to come back tomorrow to try redeem the offer. This experience has left me disgusted. I will be escalating this matter further until I can get a logical explanation to why I was treated differently to the two...
Read moreThe lady who served me served a customer before me who had ham cut her bread with a red knife and had gloves on. She then asked me what would I like I said cheese in Italian herbs cheese. She was about to touch my bread roll with the same gloves. when I stopped her to say you just touched ham with that gloves your going to serve me I’m Muslim. She then made a face and changed her gloves and then took my bread roll out from the oven and asked 6inch or 12inch I said 6inch. She then picked the same red knife she used for the ham and was about to cut my bread roll. I stopped her and said you used that on the ham. Her reaction was oh yh and then went to the kitchen to get a green knife. This is disgusting customer service with food hygiene.
