I visited this store yesterday and today I returned to make a more significant shop. Before I entered the store I felt welcomed because there were two staff outside and they were so friendly most especially the lady, she gave me a polite greeting and said that yes, they were open and with a big smiled said that I should go through. I think she saw that there was no one at the tills and so she hurried and came back in the store so to serve. I needed lots of help and she was more than happy to come with me and not only show me the products but was in detail explaining each one and also asking me relevant questions so to make sure she recommends the right items. I also felt really happy when I told them that I made certain recipes, they genuinely expressed gladness which made me in return feel confident and comfortable. It was a brilliant experience and I shall now be shopping here for my regular products and I will be more enthusiastic to broaden my purchases. Instead, the product tasted overwhelmingly sweet and lacked any resemblance to proper kimchi.When I raised this issue with the staff, they refused to acknowledge the problem or offer any resolution. The manager and team dismissed my concerns outright, despite the product clearly failing to meet reasonable expectations.While the item cost only Ā£6, the real issue is the storeās unwillingness to take responsibility and treat customers with respect. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently visited this shop to buy a bag of rice and had a disappointing experience. As I was carrying the rice to the till, the handle broke. When I got there, the shop assistant tried to make me still buy it, even though it was damaged before I had even purchased it. I didnāt feel that was right and chose a different bag instead.
Then, when I checked my receipt (which I donāt normally do), I noticed I had been overcharged ā the rice was entered manually as a different, more expensive product. While mistakes can happen, given the earlier interaction, it left me feeling I needed to be very careful shopping here. When I returned for a refund the shop assistant did not apologise for the mistake until I asked how the mistake occurred later.
Overall, I would advise anyone visiting this shop to double-check...
