Cut and Run Hair — Attraction in London

I can count on one hand how many times I’ve enjoyed myself at the hairdressers, let alone felt at ease with scissors that close to my head.

And so much at ease I was on my first time there (literally on Tuesday 6th Dec 2022) that I asked Davey “should we try something different?” And he delivered! Do you know what it’s like to get compliments on a new do?

I really do think the environment can add to the experience, and you can just tell that at Cut & Run, though it may’ve had the same stickers/posters of pop culture cornerstones that other hairdressers have, that this place has put care into it, rather than clique-y pretension of other barbers. Think Blade Runner, Bill Murray, Weird Al, and even a signed Bowie poster (sadly, not an authentic Bowie signature).

And ya know how sometimes chat with your barber is like first date vibes? Like broad generic conversation while you think “cut it faster, pls!?” This was far off that. We just talked shop on music and travel, and before I knew it, I was outta there — BISH BASH BOSH!

Second (Oct 2022): I've had an Aura treatment to smooth out my hair at cut and run twice now and wanted to report back.

The treatment is amazing. It hydrates my hair without completely straightening it or loosing volume and gives me a consistent shine and wavy look. I haven't had to blow dry or use products in my hair in months.

I could not recommend this treatment or salon enough. I also get great hair cuts here and always look forward to hanging out with Davey, Tera and the crew.

First Review (Feb 2022): Could not be happier with my Aura treatment, done by Davey. Honestly have nothing but great things to say about the salon also.

The aura treatment smoothed out my hair without killing all of my curls and volume (like keratin treatments have in the past). It’s exactly what I wanted.

Easily the best hairdresser I've ever been to. As a man with longer hair it's not always easy to get a good cut, but I've been getting my hair cut by Davey here for a while now and it always looks stellar. The salon has a great vibe, super comfortable and laid back, great art on the walls and the music is always excellent. None of the awkwardness I've experienced at a lot of other hairdressers.

I'm currently shielding and having to be super careful about covid - on my most recent visit Davey offered to wear a mask and even use the other room which was empty at the time which really made me feel safe and at ease. From personal experience it's very rare to encounter someone so understanding and accommodating, especially now, when covid is an afterthought for most people.
