My inaugural visit was a leisurely 3 mile stroll from Crouch End to met a pal whom I’d not seen for many years, the casual ambience and fabulous buzz was the perfect back drop for a catch up and then we scaled the heady heights of the huge all things Med-Brit-Vegan fusion menu, the choice was mouth-wateringly tempting - my pal went full on Med brekkie and I got lost in the heavenly flavours of the baked eggs, with shallots, garlic Turkish sausage and cheddar cheese, served with warm flat bread. A truly creative blend of textures & flavours that were simply delightful. We had a lovely chat with the owner ‘Just call me Jessica’ who was humble & gracious. I’ll be taking that long stroll again soon; it was a cut above in Brunch terms. Yep. Did I mention my mint tea? Fresh mint in a cafetière - scrumptious.

Kid friendliness was 10/10. The kids menu was amazing - while containing classic chicken fingers they had really lovely healthy options. They were more than happy to hold the salt on the food for our 1 year old as well. They had children’s cutlery and the high chairs actually had the straps (which can weirdly be a rare find these days). The staff were so welcoming when we came in and interacted with our daughter. It was so lovely. Food was also great - I had a falafel burger and it was very very tasty. My husband had the breakfast burrito (it was like 4pm and they still served breakfast which was very tempting). Huge menu as well, lots of options.

We went for brunch and it’s was amazing!! Have been there for dinner before and that didn’t disappoint but the brunch was phenomenal! We had the classic Turkish (2nd photo) and the Mediterranean (1st photo) and both were lovely. The Turkish cake with honeys and jams as well. I have never had such an amazing breakfast in the UK before so highly recommend the Turkish ! Others in our party also had the chicken and avocado wrap which was fresh and delicious (and huge!). There service was great and all the staff friendly and attentive. Highly recommend for people in the area and even among the trip! We will be back soon!

Was looking forward to visiting the venue, however our experience was far from good.

The lady at the door was very friendly and managed to organise us a lovely table even without us having a reservation and the restaurant being busy.

Waiter who took our order however was rude, told us the fresh carrot juice that was on the menu would not be served as a plain juice but only as blend with other juices. After checking with his colleague and coming back to us with an attitude and finally agreed to serve us the drink as advertised on the menu.

Be aware that half your glass will be filled with ice.

Oat-milk cappuccino was nice.

Ordered the eggs benedict... half the plate filled with a salad, muffins tasted stale and like they've been left outside for several hours after toasting. Hollandaise tasted like it came out a can. Eggs undercooked, half the whites still raw.

My friend had the muffins with spinach and salmon and was just as disappointed with her choice.

Her fruit salad came despite the menu listing it without the honey, pineapple still had bits of skin on them and the grapefruit had still all the membrane attached.

About 5min into our meal we were presented with the bill and asked to pay, eventhough we did not asked for the bill.

During our stay no-one cared to check whether we would like another drink or if everything is OK with our meals.

When we finally asked for the bill, again the waiter did not care to ask how our experience was.

All in all it was a waste of time and money visiting the restaurant and I do not recommend...

We came here fairly late last night as we were walking along Church Street and it’s always super busy, so trusted the loyalty of the Stokey locals - a mistake! We arrived around 10pm, and an older member of staff who seemed like the owner told us the kitchen was indeed still open and we were welcome to dine - this clearly upset the waiter serving us however as he was hostile with a stinking attitude.

Aperol spritz was completely watered down by the severely melted remains of what was once ice. Not surprising as it took so long to come.

The classic cheeseburger was so unbelievably poor. My partner had one bite and couldn’t have any more, I had half of mine because I would have felt really guilty leaving as much as she did untouched. I love my beef rare and burgers pink, but this was something else - one half of the patty had not seen any heat and was the dirt-cheap-beef-mince shade of red you see in budget supermarkets (with which you could make a much, much nicer burger I might add). Through the quality and consistency of the patty I could tell that it was store bought, and absolutely not home made. The bun was stale and dry.

The chips were inconsistent with some okay but most undercooked and very firm to the bite.

Overall this was a very poor experience, my partner went inside and discreetly paid up and we quickly left with about 90% of our combined food untouched. Feel really gutted about having wasted £50 on meals that a vile Wetherspoons would have done a far better job on.

I’d recommend...

I've eaten breakfast here once before and the food was OK, but nothing special in comparison to some other breakfast spots in Stokey. I've also unsuccessfully eaten here twice. Yesterday we went to the Acoustic at 8.15 am as they are one of the few places in Stokey that opens at 8 am, only to be told that they weren't yet open. Thinking they were just running a bit late as a one off we went back here today at 8.15 am, but again we were told by the two staff members that they were closed. No apology or anything for running late. If you can't keep your opening times, then please change them. This will avoid disappointment as people tend to rely on opening times and they specifically travel to your restaurant at certain times because of it. Also, if you are running late and can't adhere to your opening times, then apologise. Some simple manners is key in the service industry. I've wasted my time twice on this place now, and it's safe to say that I will never be back. In an area with an abundance of options I would recommend you to go somewhere else. We ended up going to Cafe Z Bar instead on both occasions. I can highly recommend it as the food is a lot better and the service is great!

Edit: Dear Adil, it was on the 26th and...
