In every cuisine you will find something that is coated and fried like battered fish in fish and chips, chicken nuggets, Japanese tempura/cutlet, Korean Corndogs, Russian Kievs to the Austrian Schnitzel. Enter Schnitzel Forever which specializes in Schnitzel located in Stoke Newington right next to Hollywood Candy. They started their amazing Schnitzel during the pandemic and now they have a successful restaurant with many diners. I was lucky to get a table as I was early as they were fully booked on a Wednesday night. As a Schnitzel specialist, they definitely got it right from daily oil changes, good quality to to meat quality. Simple as that! For starters, the original Schnitzel is a good one to start on and for me Chicken was pure foodgasm. Each bite was delicious, the chicken breast was battered extremely thin but remained moist from frying and the Japanese coating was light and crispy and did not retain the oil or have a funny taste. It was a good balance because the coating was not too thick or over powering in taste that it didn't really need any sauces but fresh lemon took it to another lemon. The fresh dill and parsley garnishing complemented it nicely and there was also dill butter which are all up my alley. On the menu, you will find some fancy Schnitzel with sauces and toppings and I like the way they even have Saganaki which is three different types of cheese coated in breadcrumbs as well as the fried burrata. I really wanted to write a review for Schnitzel Forever because of how I was made to feel during my visit. Let me just say that they might have the kindest staff I’ve ever encountered anywhere. Everyone was genuinely kind, but our waitress—a tall blonde girl—was especially courteous. We sat by the window, and she made sure to unfurl the curtain near the door to block the draft from reaching our table. What I found particularly thoughtful was that every time she had to open the door to speak to a delivery person, she blocked the cold air with her body and extended the curtain with her other hand to shield my back. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced such considerate service—really! The epitome of hospitality is making one feel welcome and they absolutely nailed it!

Now, onto the food. I was in heaven—truly! We ordered the Wiener schnitzel and enjoyed every single bite to the point that we stopped talking just to savor it. I’ve had many schnitzels in my lifetime, but I can confidently say this was the best I’ve ever had. I didn’t even need to ask for it to be extra crispy; it was perfectly crispy down to the last bite, even the part covered by the potato salad. The quality and obvious care put into the ingredients were remarkable.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my visit was enjoyable.

Now, let's talk about the schnitzels. Oh my goodness, they were absolutely divine! I opted for the Chicken Classic with a side of Patata Bravas, Mexican Salsa Sauce, and Tomato/Basil Sauce. The combination of flavors was out of this world. Each bite was a delightful explosion of taste and texture.
