I have mixed feelings about this place.
1st thing would be: All of the staff - apart from one of them - were really lovely. Just a very off putting experience on our first occasion here. My son’s decided to go on the carousel… the first time on, the staff member there was nice and the second girl who took over from her was really rude but the third girl on when we returned again was really lovely. I don’t know maybe the one with the attitude has special needs? So I don’t want to assume too much, as surely it’s not normal to behave that way towards someone unprovoked, without them having some sort of neurological disability or anger issues? Anyway, I had asked her politely if they were allowed to ride again (as they had just been going round on the carousel whilst this girl switched places with the first staff member) my youngest wanted to stay on the ride once it stopped and this was our first time here at your play centre so I asked just to be sure after she shouted ‘EXIT HERE’ so I assumed they had to get off/maybe only ride once - hence why I asked to double check. I received a constipated eye roll with a really rude semi-nod… maybe she can’t speak - I don’t know… but the aggressive gate slam was so uncalled for, especially when it’s suppose to be a fun place for children… not a place for someone to bring their problems into work. The other two staff members we met at the carousel (aside from the grumpy one) were really nice/professional, especially one of them who was smiling at my children and made the environment/experience feel positive and nice, I don’t know her name sadly but you need to give her a pay rise.
But for the rude one, I know people have bad days, but If you don’t want to work with children or can’t control your emotions - then just don’t. It’s so unprofessional to have staff members taking their personal problems out on customers
2nd thing: I feel like you need more staff to support the staff you already have so they’re not so overworked, I noticed they were all hopping on to cover other people’s areas, which made it seem very chaotic/they looked overworked. The place didn’t look majorly bad overall hygiene wise, but like some areas weren’t very clean at all. Especially in the ball pits where my son found a £1 coin and almost went to swallow it, which was really concerning. I was there supervising luckily, but even with supervision things can go wrong quite quickly. I did love the design/layout of the soft play though.
However, regardless of the negative parts we did have a decent time. My eldest loved the soft play section + the bumper cars. My littlest enjoyed the slides. The staff who were nice also made the experience enjoyable for my children. So I’d say overall a rating of 3 out of 5 is what I’d give for this place (would have been a 4.5 if it weren’t for the...
Read moreDisgusted with this place and the lies told by the manager in the end. They do not care for kids wellbeing and safety. As the company have failed to make contact on Tuesday as promised, this legal action may commence and this is why…
When we arrived we could not sit down as there was food and drink all on the floor and staff just moved chairs and walked away leaving it. It was dangerous as it was next to where children were running around and not alone unhygienic.
We went to the bathroom first and they were dirty, smelling with nappies left on the floor. It make me feel sick! I was not going to change my grandson in there again.
I took my grandson and was using the under 3s soft play. There was no staff member checking this play area resulting in constant 5-6yr old and older entering leaving the gate open, which was unsecure for my grandson and other babies. Th older children were, climbing on top of the equipment and jumping down, landing on top of the babies, my grandson being one of them. He was injured with a huge red mark on his back!
I had to stop my grandson from eating food which was on the floor in the softplay. Not only was this disgusting but it is a choking hazard too. My daughter spoke to a staff member, they came and removed the older children to leave the under 3’s soft play. Only for them to return 30 seconds later, with one of them throwing a seesaw on my grandchild’s head and carry on climbing, jumping and throwing large towards and at babies too.
Furthermore two staff walked in to tidy up the under 3,s area, they would have seen the older children in there and just walked out.
Upon reporting to a manager in the end and deciding to remove my grandson as a child jumped on his back and was hurt. I was apologised to and a balloon given to my grandson. I was promised I would be contacted on Tuesday. I had left my number in the accident book. I was told we would either get a free visit of a refund. Naturally, I am not taking my grandson back to somewhere which was filthy, unhygienic and outright dangerous!
This softplay did not show any form of care towards my grandson and other children. I will not be returning again, who would?! It was just unsafe and unacceptable and for management not to make contact as promised this has left us with a bad experience! NOT RECOMENDED - if I could I would...
Read moreReally sad to leave a low star negative review but I had a rubbish experience at Gambado recently. I took my 8 month old because I read on their website that there is a suitable 3’s and under area. When I arrived it was very busy but I understand it’s a Sunday afternoon so bound to be. I thought we would be safe because it was the baby/pre walker area we were going to anyway. Sadly it was horribly rammed with so many older kids clearly over 3 running in and out. One child knocked my baby over and another crawling baby was pushed to the side by a bigger child.
This was just absolute chaos and I understand the children don’t really know it’s for smaller babies unless an adult tells them. Therefore, I believe there clearly needs to be some kind of supervision on the gate of the area because it just ruined the time for us completely and felt unsafe. I left after 15 minutes. I thought I’ll grab a coffee before I go and it was the most disgusting coffee. Really cheap. I just expected a bit more for somewhere like this/the area it is in and the price. I sent an email to the customer service team and my concerns around the older kids running into that area and felt they completely ignored what I was saying. I asked for a refund because I did not get to enjoy some soft play time with my baby at all. It was a wasted trip and waste of money and my time. They told me I could come back again for free….I don’t want to come back if that same problem is occurring.
They suggested I go earlier at 9.30am because it’s quieter then…..but that is not the time suitable for us as my baby naps then. I don’t believe the under 3’s area should be affected that much if the venue is busy or not because that area is not for older kids. I’m annoyed at their reply and lack of care or thought about my concerns. The whole things just a bit rubbish. Won’t be going back at all. It was also very dirty and seemed really...
