Been here twice recently as part of the summer programme for kids and have had a great experience both times. The summer then and now trail with crafts was such good value for money, only £2 and there were 3 different fully resourced crafts to do throughout the house as well as an interesting history trail. I would never have thought to come here otherwise but was fascinated by the history of the house and its various residents that I could read about while my daughter was completing her activities. Of note, there was a wedding happening during our visit which looked lovely but did mean one of the rooms was out of bounds. Luckily we were able to see those exhibits when we came back for the Queen’s Bee storytelling session. Every single staff member we have encountered has been incredible, they all really go above and beyond and clearly love what they do, they really made the visit. Bought a couple of the pocket money items both times and these are really well priced and even popped back on another occasion to buy some duck food. Genuinely could not recommend Honeywood...

A local museum, heritage and exhibition centre enviably located aside the picturesque ponds and unsung Festival Walk. Grade II Listed early 17th.Century “chalk and flint” building, extensively adapted and modified over the centuries. Thematic and transitional local and Sutton history and heritage from social, economic, domestic and archaeological perspectives: a patina of time and place presented with panache. Contemporary displays, informative narrative boards, a compact gift shop and then chalk up an Edwardian billiard room as a grand finale ! Exhibitions by local artists The volunteer staff are enthused and engaging. A boast to the local community and assuredly worth a visit with a café right next door beside the...

Me and my boy just loved it. It's tiny, but full of vintage things. You can learn a lot about local history. Admission is free, but worth giving donations. There is lovely lady at reception and a tiny souvenirs shop with it. Prices are not bad. They also organise different events across the year for kids. And attached to the museum, there is a lovely café - yummy cakes and icecreams and more. You can enjoy your cake and coffee by the pond, enjoying company of ducks and all sort of water birds. Duck's food available from museum's shop - at the time was 30p for fairly large bag. Bargain to keep...

Nestled by Carshalton Ponds, Honeywood Museum, a Grade II listed house, embodies centuries of history. Its charming façade blends 17th-century architecture with Edwardian elegance, a tribute to John Pattinson Kirk's vision. Inside, a treasure trove of local history awaits, spanning from the Bronze Age to modern times. A visit to Honeywood Museum is a delightful journey through time, where history intertwines with the serene beauty of Carshalton.
