This is a cute place I've visited often during the weekend. I've not had a negative experience with the food, I woukd say 6/10. Service, however, 3/10, has always been hit-and-miss with the head waiter. Rude and unwelcoming at times but today was the last of it for me. The shop was a little quieter, there were 3 tables along the sofa side, I asked for a table on sofa because it would be easier for my child to reach the table ( we are at that in-between stage where we are a little to big for a highchair but also petite to reach comfortably from a grown-up chair, in essence - I had my reasons) but I was refused as that side is for large group and offered table for 2 elsewhere - the shop was empty but in fairness, I have seen it being busy and accepted the alternative. What annoyed me was the space I asked for was then offered to two people who came shortly after - not sure what happened to "this space is for group booking" - was it that the other group didn't have a child with them so u think they would spend more? Was it skin tone? Who knows,šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø the approach just didn't sit right with me so won't be rushing back any time soon but hopefully, others have a more positive...

Scam alert! I ordered two vegetarian breakfasts (Ā£11.90 each) and a rose coffee (Ā£4.50). The server, a European man with an unfriendly demeanor and a constant smirk, didn't provide a great experience. We substituted mushrooms with hashbrowns on both plates (which we never received but didn’t bother complaining about) and also didn’t get the tomatoes that were supposed to be on both plates. Despite these issues, we let it go.

The total cost should have been £28.30 (£11.90 + £11.90 + £4.50), as their menu allows one item substitution. However, when the bill came, it was £32.30 (photo attached), showing an extra £4 charge. When I questioned it, the server claimed it was VAT. I was confused but paid on the spot. Once home, I double-checked and realized I was overcharged. I called the restaurant for a refund, but they refused, offering a discount on my next visit instead. I explained that after this experience, I wouldn't be returning, but the person was dismissive. I'm planning to escalate this matter, as I feel I was intentionally scammed. Just wanted to share my receipt and experience...

I've been a regular patron of the cafe for quite some time now, and I must say, my recent experience reaffirmed why I keep coming back. The food was exceptional, showcasing a blend of flavors that truly delighted the palate. From their signature dishes to the freshly brewed coffee, each item on the menu exuded quality and care in preparation.

Moreover, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive and quick to accommodate any requests. They made the dining experience not only enjoyable but also memorable with their warm hospitality.

I find myself baffled by recent negative reviews I've seen online. As someone who frequents this cafƩ, I can confidently say that these reviews seem unjust and possibly malicious. My consistent positive experiences stand in stark contrast to such criticisms, making me question their validity.

In conclusion, the place continues to be a favorite spot of mine, offering a delightful culinary journey paired with outstanding service. If you're looking for a place where quality meets comfort, I highly recommend...

Spilt Milk Cafe is truly a standout spot in town. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed with a warm atmosphere and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. The food is nothing short of spectacular—every dish is bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Whether you’re indulging in a hearty brunch or just enjoying a light snack, you can taste the care that goes into every bite. The floor staff elevate the experience even further. They are professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly, always ready to offer recommendations or cater to special requests. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and the service consistently exceed expectations, but Spilt Milk Cafe manages to do just that. I can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking for delicious food paired with exceptional service. This is definitely a place worth returning to time and time again! I had the full English and it was Devine!! Thank you team Spilt Milk!

I was really looking forward to try this place and went out of my way to get there. Unfortunately it didn't live up to my expectations. The food looks better than it tastes. I had the chicken waffle and it really lacked flavour. It was just plain fried chicken on a plain waffle with gravy and a couple of slices of chilli. It was ok to eat, but very bland. My friend had the creamy wild mushroom waffle which turned out to be button mushrooms cooked in water, no flavour or creaminess to them at all. The Beetroot and ginger smoothie was the best part. I'd maybe go back for the drinks and perhaps to try a sweet waffle, they may be better than the savoury ones. Service was poor, the waitress seemed quite unhappy, like she didn't want to be there. Atmosphere is very loud, the restaurant is small but busy, I could hardly hear my friend speak and she was directly in front of me.
