It is sooo much bigger from the inside!! Bar is a little expensive but they do offer good deals!!!
2022 - A NEWLY INTRODUCED RULE FOR THE BAR The bar is only open prior an event & during interval/s ONLY! You cannot purchase a drink "during" an event & the bar does not reopen at the end of an event even if there is "post event dancing/music/DJ".
I understand the safety purpose but was livid after queuing the entire 25 min interval (not knowing or being informed of this rule, I didn't get a drink before the start). I was the next person to be "served" when the manager started turning people away from the queue, the barmaid said "this lady (me) was her last customer", the manager said "No" & proceeded to stand infront of me, she looked at me & said "sorry it's closed" & turned away!
Understandably I would be frustrated but with a little context you will see why I was livid........ I am a disabled customer, located on the far side on the "disabled" platform, in a permanent air cast on crutches. I had fought my way across a wet floor, through 100s of people trying to get to the toilets, unfortunately didn't have the luxury of looking for the "best spot" at the bar due to the amount of people/wet floor/low lights/limited space between the bar & seats so had to join the end of the nearest queue so I could get my bottled drink back to my seat in the safest way possible.
Evidently this didn't happen, to top it I had a bottle of water in my bag that was taken on arrival (to be expected) but I didn't have an alternative as the "water machine" inside the venue was located right next to the stage (the busiest area) & I wouldn't have been able to carry the cup back without wearing it!
In the main Arena, seat/platform service is available for disabled patrons why is this not also available inside Indigo?
To infuriate me a little more there was a VIP patron on the disabled platform with me & a member of their party was allowed to purchase drinks for their entire group during the show, so the excuse of "No sales during the performance" doesn't wash as this wasn't the case.
Lastly, a member of staff used to always be positioned on the platform for the duration of the event but this wasn't the case during this event, there was not a member of staff to be found.
SO MUCH SO a wheelchair patrons chair skidded on a wet patch & tipped back, it took the CUSTOMERS on the platform to lift said patron & put the wheelchair back underneath them, I'm assuming this didn't fair so well as the patron didn't return after the interval. WHERE WERE THE STAFF!?!?!
The rules have to be identical for all patrons, which they clearly are not! This isn't good...
Read moreDO NOT GO TO THIS VENUE!!!!!!!!! Went to a concert on the 29th April This is the worst venue i have ever been to in my life! Girls especially never go here, because the security do not care at all.
We were standing and we told the security guys were being inappropriate with us to which he looked at us shrugged his shoulders and chose to ignore.
My friend then fainted and everyone around us was calling for security, but again they did not come. But when there were fights, they managed to get into the middle of the crowd within seconds. A nice guy picked up my friend and took her outside as the security were incapable of doing their job. The staff then started shouting at the guy who helped us for some strange reason.
They took my friend to the medical room, I asked the staff if my other friend could also come with us and I did not want to leave her alone. An asian looking man then began to aggressively get in my face and shout at me saying drop the attitude, my friend then stood outside, and i walked around the aggressive security man, then an older white woman, blonde hair and glasses started screaming in my face, telling me to drop the attitude and if i didn't she would not let me see my friend who passed out. I stood there waiting for her to stop verbally abusing me, and she tells me if i want to see attitude then she will show me attitude. She was aggressively shouting in my face, and repeatedly shouted in my face if i didn't drop the attitude from my face I had to wait outside. All i wanted was to see my friend who was unconscious.
Absolutely awful staff, disrespectful, useless and the security should have their SIA badges taken from them. The whole thing was so unorganised and all the staff had guest safety on the back of their tops, so ironic that I felt unsafe with the staff who were meant to be looking after the people at the event. There needs to be more training for your incompetent staff because they...
Read moreI am so angry with the O2. I've been before, and I loved the place. I took my wife for the first time last night, and it ended badly. It was supposed to be a fun date night, going to a 90s music disco event at the Indigo. I bought tickets and bought the extra "Lounge Pass," which is supposed to be like VIP. There were no signs on how to attend the party, nothing for Lounge Pass. It was supposed to start at 11 pm, but entry started at maybe 1145pm. When we got in, we asked about the Lounge Pass to multiple members of staff, and eventually, a manager told us there was no Lounge Pass for this event, and they were not sure why it was being sold. 50 Pounds wasted, and this was the main reason that convinced me to go to this event. I am going to request a full refund. Oh, but it gets better... we left the party around 2:30 AM, and as we were leaving through the O2 near the main exit, security was very rude and persistent that we leave. I was on my phone the whole time trying to get us an Uber, but somehow, I managed to leave the O2 building before my wife. and when I walked out the door and turned around, I saw my wife get knocked to the ground by O2 security. I was furious. Apparently, she got punched in the face by a security guard and then thrown to the ground. She is starting to show a black eye and has bruises on her elbow and knee. They would not let me back in. People around me were upset about it as well and said they had it recorded. I don't know what happened, but O2 security assaulted my wife. It wasn't until the police from outside arrived that they let me in. And guess what... O2 security disappeared. I asked for the police to do a criminal investigation and was told I would receive an email. I am going to follow up on this and file a lawsuit...
