Absolutely devasting expeirience at this Pier. We booked Thames Clippers River Roamer ticket using TUI (Which is a biggest mistake we did) and were detained to board the ferry from this Pier. Though crew in Bankside Pier were able to allow us with the same ticket information. People working in this pier has no knowledge on ticketing process and only knows about Contactless and Oyster. Apart from that they have zero clue on Thames Clippers ticketing details. We lost 3 hours (in our one day London Trip) in this pier stranded to get back to our car which was parked at Bankside.. We were treated as if we were travelling for free despite paying a good amount of money to Thames Clippers. Will never book Thames Clippers again in our life! If you are going to use this pier or Thames clippers always PLEASE USE TICKETING KIOSK OR CONTACLESS. Crew working here has no idea apart from this and you will get no help other than to just book a Uber back to London central or book another costly single ticket to board the ferry.
Update: We travelled once again last week via this pier and it's been a different experience all together. Staff was very polite and was able to print the ticket out in few minutes. This time we booked ticket for Thames Clipper via Emirates Cable Car (Golden Tours) and it was absolute ease. They even had a document hanging behind on all the vouchers so I believe it shouldn't be an issue even if you book with TUI. Updating the rating to three...
Read moreRiver bus from North Greenwich pier to Westminster pier takes you down a beautiful stretch of river, stopping at every pier. These boats do run like buses so you can tap in and out with your Oyster card and your 'pay as you go' balance will be debited. Oyster card holders get a discounted fare as do Freedom Pass holders. The front seats offer the best views and the windows at the front are very clean, perfect for taking pictures. The side windows are a lot dirtier and can be hard to see out of. These are another mode of public transport rather than tour boats so there is no commentary. The boat we rode in was enclosed seating, perfect for rainy...
Read morePart of TFL is a river bus that runs regularly in both directions up and down the central London part of the Thames. Ferries have a variety of stopping patterns so choose the correct one as posted on electronic display. The boats are very large and you should have no problem getting a seat and sitting together. The boat sells food and drinks though it does take a time to queue so you may reach your destination just as you are served. This is a cheep way to get a fantastic view of the centre of London. Recommend an end to end visit stopping off at various places such as Greenwich Pier and visiting the park and...
