Lush Cosmetics Stratford City — Attraction in London

This rating is for the company NOT the shop in Stratford itself. I used to love Lush because they were the only bath / cosmetics chain that a) only ever tested their products on human volunteers as opposed to animals; and b) carried solid body conditioner (butter) made of natural ingredients that kept my skin moisturized throughout the day.

i learnt early this year that the company discontinued King of Skin, perhaps their best-selling solid body conditioner. This was upsetting to me, other customers and even staff as we had been buying it for years. Apparently, the decision was taken to give their other solid body conditioners like American Pie a chance to gain popularity. They didn't want too many similar products on the shelves. What could I do? I started buying American Pie as I needed a non-exfoliating replacement for King of Skin, and that was the only one. I was never a fan to be honest. I still preferred King of Skin as it did not have such a strong fragrance.

Then a few weeks ago, I found out that American Pie's sales weren't cutting it despite the lack of competition so they discontinued that too! I then tried the very pricey Ro's Argan which is a cream (non-solid) body conditioner because now all the solid ones contained exfoliant. It was super pricey, and I really did not like the fact that it has a strong fragrance and is not available as a solid so cannot be applied to skin immediately after showering.

I've stopped going to now as I wouldn't use anything else they sell unless I'm purchasing bath bombs as a gift for someone. I wish they would ask customers for feedback before discontinuing products that sell well. Very sad and...

Review for LUSH Minecraft-Themed Workshop

My 7-year-old recently attended a Minecraft-themed workshop at LUSH, and unfortunately, we left feeling a bit disappointed. We’ve participated in previous workshops at LUSH that were both fun and great value, but this one fell short of expectations, especially considering the higher price point.

We paid £15 for this session, which was significantly more than the £5 we’ve spent on previous workshops. Given the theme and the cost, we were expecting a more substantial experience. While my son enjoyed the activities and the interaction with the other children, the overall value just wasn’t there.

At the end of the session, my son left with a single bath bomb that he made, a small Minecraft-themed bath bomb, and a few small pieces of product used during the session to build a Minecraft item. Considering the price, this felt underwhelming and didn’t quite justify the cost.

The ladies running the session were lovely and did their best to create a fun environment, but the limited take-home items made the experience feel deflating. I can't help but wish we had just spent the £15 on LUSH products directly, which would have provided us with more value and enjoyment.

We’ve had great experiences with LUSH workshops in the past but if future sessions are priced similarly to this one, we might think twice...

Wow what an amazing experience it was entering the Lush at Westfield Stratford, as someone who works in retail, I am always looking out for good customer service and a sales associate that can make a connection with the customer; As soon as I entered the shop I was greeted with a warm and welcoming smile by Raga! I was looking for my regular perfume and body cream but wasn’t sure where to start, she asked me a few simple questions about my taste and what smells and textures I enjoy and from there she kindly suggested products that she thought I would like and I did! She didn’t miss the mark once, everything she was demoing on me was exactly what I had described, I fell in love with 3 of the creams but wasn’t sure how to make my mind up, but she was so patient with me, she led me over to the perfume section to and she help me decide which cream would be good to layer on top of the fragrance I love, everything was done with such attention to detail and she really made me feel she cared and I loved her connection and eye contact which is sooo important; overall, such a wonderful experience with a lovely sales associate, by the end, she even gave me very generous samples of the two other creams I loved.
