This review is based on a visit to Zizi's almost a month ago. I've been meaning pop a quick review, but I never got around to it, until now.

What can I say? My ratings say it all. We decided to go to Zizi's when we visited Westfields Stratford, and as we have previously been, it wasn't a difficult choice. There are so many food options in and around Westfields, and you are spoilt for choice. My partner and son love pasta and pizza, so for us, it was an easy decision. The usual suspects are Ask Italian, Pizza Express, and Zizi's on the top floor restaurant section.

On arrival, we were seated quite quickly. They weren't as busy around 12 pm. The food was hot, very filling, with large portions, and deliciously tasty. We enjoyed our individual meal orders.

We spent around an hour and a half there and never felt rushed even when it started getting busy after 1 pm. In the past we found the service a bit slow, but on this occasion, they were staffed appropriately, and even when we needed something extra for our table, like black pepper, olive oil, tap water, etc, a simple raised hand, and with a minute or so we were attended to. Even getting the bill at the end didn't take too long. I feel that their service has definitely improved. Kudos Zizi's. All round a great dining (lunch) experience, and we will definitely return when we find ourselves back in Stratford and Westfields.

So, I have this thing where I always go check out the restroom facilities of any establishment we dine at. A clean, fresh-smelling, and tidy toilet tells me a lot about how an establishment is run and their view on hygiene, etc. No problems here. I have included a few pics just for those who are interested. I always wonder why the toilet bins in restaurants are always so dented...had the same experience at other similar establishments at Westfields. Strange.

One last point, on the bill, you will see they add a team tip of 10%, which in principle, I do not have a problem with it as I always tip at least 10% anyway. It's just funny how they say it's optional, but then it's automatically added. I suppose if a customer feels otherwise, they may ask for it to be removed. I'm not sure what management's view is not this and as I said, I have no issue with it. Something to consider for those who don't feel a 10% tip has been earned. The bill (pic included) isn't cheap (£75 for 3: two adults and one 11 year old. We didn't even have any dessert). I don't think post-Covid-19, etc, prices have come back down - my personal view. So, for many, eating out may be for special occasions only.

Overall, a great dining experience, I don't always give 5 stars for Food, Service, and Atmosphere. Keep up the great work, Zizi's. It's highly appreciated and valued.

We definitely recommend this Zizi's for a super dining...

We love Zizzis but The Westfield Stratford branch was highly disappointing. We got to the restaurant at 8.40pm and it was very quiet, only four other tables occupied. We were seated promptly and ordered wine and some tap water. The waitress brought over the water, wine and glasses but nothing poured out. We ordered our starters, they came fairly quickly and were very tasty. We had quite a wait for our mains to arrive, even after the bell was pinged in the kitchen they were just left on pass. When they were brought to the table the waitress just stood and looked at our starter plates that hadn't been cleared, we obliged and our rather cold and congealed pasta dishes were set infront of us. They tasted no better than they looked, my daughter's spaghetti carbonara was all stuck together with an oily well underneath, she left the majority of it. Even with a plate that was virtually untouched, we weren't asked how any part of our meal was instead she said, if you want desserts you'll have to order them now because the kitchen is closing. We later discovered this member of staff was a manager, she had more time for deliveroo orders than the customers in the restaurant. On many occassions she picked at her teeth and examined what she had pulled out, most unhygienic !! We asked for the bill but it took forever to arrive as she was back and forth with deliveroo orders, she virtually passed our table on each of these visits, the bill could have been dropped off on her way. Eventually we got the bill, still no enquiry about our meal so I mentioned that I was very disappointed, she just stared at me for around 20 seconds, and then said could you repeat that, when i did she walked away without saying a word, she returned with a new bill having knocked £9 off, I said I wasn't after a refund just wanted to let them know that the mains weren't good. She said I've given you a refund so you won't be mad, i can do this for you and maybe you could give us a second chance, I pointed out this was the second chance as the last time we visited it was highly disappointing too! I think this restaurant needs bringing up to the Zizzi standard, very poor customer service, very poor food. We have travelled to many different Zizzi restaurants and this isn't up to sctatch. A big shout out to Zizzi Exeter, service and...

What distinguishes one branch of a restaurant from another? The service. I start from food, It was similar to any other Zizzi restaurant. The atmosphere, Apart from pointless dusty wooden structure hanging from ceiling everything else was clean. Toilets were clean and well ventilated. The service, Upon arrival we were greeted by one of the staff who was very friendly and quickly helped us to a table. The big guy which I think was the manager was often drinking and eating in the bar area. We were very thirsty and since the waiter was busy attending other tables I asked the manager at the bar for a jug of water and he pointed me back to my table and told me to wait for the waiter whilst he was 1 meter away from jug and ice and cups. The waiter turned up after 5 minutes and I asked For water which quickly arrived. Next to our table were sitting two ladies and all staff were very sincere to them to the point that a waitress who decided to join them and hug them but she wasn't happy to take the our order and wanter to spend more time with them. Eventually she took our order and the food arrived. Very nicely done and delicious. Half way through our meal the manager decided to join the table next to ours. During the conversation which was mainly about fussy customers they managed to squeeze a ton of F words. My two children were very uncomfortable and the younger one told me we should leave since the manager is so ignorant. At the end I had to bring their attention to the presence of families there. The manager quickly apologized and they stopped. We also asked for a refill of water which the manager after filling the jug handled it with the from edge and I had to ask for another one but why he did it I have no idea. We paid for the meal and left but I noticed that there was an amount of optional tip which was added to the bill that I paid but considering the service we received was unfair. So the service was not good, but the food was good as usual. Will I go back to this restaurant again? NO I'm going to bring this to the attention of the head office and see what they say in reply. An update, Zizzi called me the next day I posted this. Took everything on board and accepted the service flaws and offered a free meal for 4. Thank you Zizzi. A decent...

I first visited this branch when it first opened and there was terrible issue with timing of the food. It took an hour for the starters to arrive and ended up cancelling the mains due to the attitude from the waiter. We put this down to teething problems and returned for a meal yesterday. This is a large branch of Zizzi with space both inside and outside of the restaurant. We were first taken to an outside seating area but felt this was crowded and too close to the bustle of westfield, so requested a seat inside instead (we weren't actually offered a choice from the beginning, though). We were seated at a table which had two drinks bottles on it...the bottles weren't cleared until around 30 minutes later. It took a while to get the waiter's attention so we could place our orders. We ordered from the lunch menu ans assumed the food would come quickly, but the timing of the food was an issue again - after 30 mins we asked the waiter and he glanced toward the kitchen and said "it looks like your food is coming out now" then he scuttled away. The starters arrived 10 minutes later! The waiting time between the starters and mains was only around 5 minutes, though. The restaurant was busy (but not heaving) and there were lots of other tables which had long waits for food. The food was tasty and the mocktails were also nice. The restaurant was clean and had a nice chilled vibe to it. However, I won't come back as the kitchen service was disappointingly slow.
