Went on a Thursday evening for bottomless brunch and my friends and I have never complained at a restaurant before until last night. Service; The place itself looks cute but it’s massive, defo a contributing factor, there was tables dotted everywhere but if you had put them all into 1-2 sections rather than 4-5 the attention from staff would have been way better, instead after waiting at the host desk for a couple of moments, we then proceeded to having to wait 20mins before the waitress came over. At first she ordered us 2 rounds of drinks (rather than the rule of 1 round) came to realise this was due to the very slow, non attentive service that was being provided. The food which was 3 plates worth took 40mins to come out with one dish being completely wrong & a side of fries being left out - we also had not received any round of drinks at this point. The correct dish came out around 10-15 mins after the other dishes. The drinks arrived like 15-20 mins after the food had been dropped. The actual bottomless part was horrendous since the speedy service was instead trying to flag a waiter down & waiting dreadful amounts of time for said drinks to come. Also it seems the staff can go on break at whatever time they choose? Our waiter went on break at a time when her section was full, we only realised when she grabbed her bag & walked down the escalator. She had told a guy to pick up her section but maybe a mere 10mins before he also picked up his bag and left? The girl appeared later but that whole situation was odd Staff; Sitting with me was a current restaurant manager, a former restaurant manager & I too have previous managerial restaurant experience - The employees were completely frazzled, literally everyone was everywhere but yet nothing was really getting done. Our waitress who seemed nice enough was basically in every section, not only was she looking after tables, she was running drinks & hosting. When we asked to speak to someone higher, our waitress who was a stranger to us, gossiped quickly regarding her other staff members work ethic & how poorly it was going. She gave us a bottle of prosecco due to said service which was nice but also that bottle was part of the bottomless anyways so we could have ordered the same thing without her offer.
The manager on shift was very new he also looked quite young, 6months and he was supposed to be controlling the floor by himself without anyone higher being on shift & it was a Thursday night. We had to flag him down rather than him hitting the table first, we felt like this could have been met with apology but that came later. He seemed like a nice guy, offered which we accepted some discounts/goodwill for our issues.
The bar staff felt untrained. The cocktails were hitting tables (around us too) after food, being made incorrectly and also taking like 30-40mins to arrive, not just bottomless but in general. There was a few drinks 86’d due to missing ingredients and the drinks themselves were rough. Very sweet, enough to hurt my stomach - colours were vibrant, basically just sugar syrup and juice. After a bottomless for reference I’m usually drunk and my friends tipsy, this one here I could say I was completely sober.
Food; There was quite a few options to choose from for the bottomless, I went for the coconut chicken curry. We were told by the waitress that the portions were petite sizes of the usual menu, which in theory sounded a bit scary but when they arrived, the burger felt like a normal size, there was a good amount of curry but the chilli bowl did indeed feel petite. We had to pay on top for the chips, £4 per bowl, one curly fries and one straight cut. I felt like I got 10 chips in both bowls, portions felt like child menu amount, maybe even less. For reference the photo is without the curry as it turned up late and we had eaten the straight cut fries but that’s the full size for the...

Read moreI feel it's sad that I have to write this, but what on earth has happened Las Iguanas?
Was passing through Westfield and needed something to eat, so thought I'd have a sit down meal and thought "I haven't had Las Iguanas for a while". Was greeted quickly and sat down with a menu without any further conversation.
Loved the Iguanas wings in the past with the home made hot sauces, so the first alarm bell rang when it said "cholula hot sauce". Eventually my server came over and asked if she could "get me anything?" without any offer of help with the menu or recommendations. I ordered a pint of beer, the aforementioned wings and a burger. She asked if I wanted the wings as a starter or not. I said I'm not bothered if the burger comes while I'm still eating the wings. They both arrived at the same time.
The wings were OK, but had hardly any sauce on them. Fries were acceptable, but the burger was terrible. I always think people overreact in reviews when they say "better burgers at McDonald's" but this literally tasted like the patties they use at Burger King in their Whoppers. Now I like a Whopper, but they're not £17.75 plus service. At no point during my meal did anyone seek my feedback, so I couldn't point this out.
I eventually finished and was asked by my server if I wanted anything else. I'd had my eye on the Oaxacan Negroni, so thought I finish with one of those. While waiting for this, there was a discussion nearby where my server could finish early due to it being quiet. No one told me any of this other than what I overheard but I saw my waitress waking off with her jacket.
My cocktail arrived and it was just a regular Negroni. No one ever asked if I was happy with the drink. Eventually I asked for the bill, paid and left. Likely never to return.
Bad food. Nonexistent service. No attempt to fix issues. Nearly £60 for a solo diner (including...
