The Poker Room - London — Attraction in London

I really like the Victoria Grosvenor poker room. “The Vic” is my favourite place to play poker in London and I go in pretty regularly. Service is good and the game play is pretty solid across the board. I would say people typically know what they’re doing here with some exceptions on the weekends.

The Games: During peak hours (after 5pm on weekdays, earlier on weekends) the games that are running include No Limit Texas Hold ‘em at the £1/£2, £1/3, and £2/5 levels. Sometimes there you’ll also see £5/£10 on the weekends, or at least some interest on the wait list. Pot Limit Omaha runs £1/£2 and up depending on the day.

There are the usual casino games. There are regular poker tournaments and cash games at various buy-ins. You can register with Grosvener to have the ability to add yourself to a waiting list. Omaha and Hold-em are the main poker games and you can usually walk in and not have to wait too long for either of those. The croupiers are polite and rarely slip but the casino rules do mean that much of the poker-banter and social aspect is overly censored at some times. There are some regulars and some visitors. This is the best place to play poker while you are in London. The location is perfect. If you are staying in Heathrow you don’t need a cab to get here. Take the Heathrow express and you will be there in less than 20 mins. No need to pay for those expensive taxis or Uber because is located a few blocks away from the Paddington station. I can’t believe I never came here to play from all the times I have visited London in the past. The only negative thing I have to say about this place is the long wait for a game sometimes.
