Today we visited this charming restaurant and had the pleasure of enjoying their Turkish breakfast, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with rustic yet elegant decor that set the perfect tone for a cozy meal. We chose this restaurant to celebrate friend's birthday based on their online positive reviews and we were not disappointed!
The Turkish breakfast spread was a feast for the senses. The assortment of fresh, warm bread was simply divine, paired with an array of cheeses, olives, and honey that tasted delicious! The sucuk (spicy sausage) was perfectly cooked, adding just the right amount of heat and flavor.
One of the highlights was the freshly brewed Turkish tea, served in the traditional tulip-shaped glasses, which was the perfect complement to the meal. Each item felt meticulously prepared, and the balance of flavours was spot on. We were looked after by Wael, a very attentive and friendly waiter, making the whole experience feel personalised and special. He even noticed that we were there to celebrate birthday, even though we kept it very low key, and organised Turkish delight sweets and tea for us on the house!
Overall, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience an authentic Turkish breakfast. We left feeling thoroughly satisfied and already planning our next visit to try their dinner menu! Highly...
Read moreWhat’s the point of coming here if you can’t even sit and eat comfortably? Inside was like a sauna—stuffy, airless, and unbearable—so we decided to sit outside. Big mistake. The outdoor space was a ridiculously narrow strip crammed with way more tables and chairs than it could possibly handle. Everything was shoved together so tightly that we had to move the chairs ourselves just to be able to face each other without playing elbow wars while trying to eat.
Of course, the second we did that, an employee rushed over to tell us we weren’t meant to sit that way. Sorry, but if I’m paying to eat at your establishment, I expect to at least have enough space to lift my fork without fencing with the person next to me. We also weren’t in anyone’s way because only a few people were sitting there.
The employee adjusted things a bit (we went along with it), but then the manager came over and made everything even worse. He forced the table and chairs into an even more cramped position—because apparently, customer comfort isn’t part of the experience at this place. At that point, we’d had enough of the nonsense and walked out.
So congratulations, you successfully drove away two paying customers. Keep up this attitude and let’s see how long your London branch lasts. Maybe take a trip to your Istanbul branches and learn what actual hospitality looks like. Mehmet is probably turning...
Read moreAs a lifelong lover of Turkish coffee, especially the iconic Mehmet Efendi, I was absolutely delighted to see a dedicated coffee shop open in London. I truly hope this remains a single, special location rather than becoming just another chain, because it already feels unique and full of character.
The staff were exceptional — not only polite but clearly well-trained and professional. There were plenty of them, which meant service was fast, smooth, and efficient. The variety on offer is impressive: a wide selection of baklava, sweets, desserts, drinks, and of course the star of the show — top-quality Mehmet Efendi Turkish coffee, rich and delicious.
The place was spotless, even at the end of the day. I noticed a staff member constantly tidying, wiping surfaces, and making sure everything stayed immaculate, which really showed their commitment to hygiene. There was no mess, no crumbs, nothing out of place. The décor is beautiful, the atmosphere inviting, and even the toilets were clean — something I hope they maintain.
The staff were warm, smiley, and happy to answer questions or help with choosing a dessert. Overall, it’s a rare gem, and I hope they keep it just as it is — one perfect spot, cared...
