I recently had the pleasure of dining at Al Arez, a wonderful Lebanese restaurant in London. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere, and as I started to explore the menu, I knew I was in for a treat. Firstly, I must mention the food - it was simply outstanding. The Makanek, a Lebanese sausage dish, was a revelation. The dense molasses sauce was beautifully balanced, and the sausages themselves were juicy and delicious. Equally impressive was the Hoummos Awarma, a rich and creamy hummus topped with shredded lamb, which added an extra depth of flavor. And the Dolma - stuffed vine leaves filled with a tasty mixture of rice, herbs, and spices - left me wanting more. Perhaps the highlight of my meal was the Stuffed Lamb. The lamb was tender and juicy, perfectly cooked, and generously stuffed with rice, minced lamb, and a blend of aromatic spices that created a complex and satisfying flavor. It was a real showstopper of a dish, one that I would happily go back for time and time again. But it wasn't just the food that impressed me at Al Arez. The service was also exceptional. From the friendly and attentive waitstaff to the expertly prepared dishes, everything was top-notch. The staff were knowledgeable about the menu and were able to recommend dishes based on my preferences. Overall, I cannot recommend Al Arez enough. It is clear that this restaurant takes pride in its cuisine and provides a truly authentic Lebanese dining experience. If you are looking for great food and exceptional service, then make sure Al Arez is on your list of places to visit in London.

The staff at this restaurant was so rude and unprofessional they were rude soon as we walked in being aggressive when we was ordering. The waiter in black shirt got our food and chucked it infront of us aggressively and was banging the cutlery like he was so angry and we had our young children with us who got scared by this behaviour! We asked for our drinks about 15 times the guy in blue shirt was telling his staff not to give us our drinks and this was 15 20 minutes in to eating our meal with no drinks as we continued asking for our drinks the one in black shirt started laughing at us and said you ordered drinks and started sarcastically laughing and said that’s not my problem and started arguing with us and the blue shirt man was saying to the other guy yes leave it and told him to go and carry on doing other tasks they were being rude and arrogant and saying to each other oh leave them don’t give them drinks!! They were shouting aggressively in their language about us to each other made us feel really uncomfortable and intimidated the whole time we was there we was with young children they were very scared as well my daughter was so afraid she was hiding under the table due to their aggressiveness!! The service is appalling and their manners and behaviour is absolutely disgusting!! I used to always come here for years but due to these staff I will never return again!! No customer service skills no basic human manners! Avoid at all costs!! The pictures I am attaching are the 2 individuals who were very rude and aggressive!!

Came here yesterday with my partner, waited around for a few minutes before w was acknowledged. We the. Sat down after given a table and ordered 2 shawarma wraps, hummus and chips which didn’t take long to arrive. Whilst we waited I noticed the cutlery was dirty and had bits of food still on them, I asked a waitress who then gave me a clean pair which I didn’t really trust to use. The food then arrived and I found the chips warm but not freshly cooked, the shawarma wraps were not the best and somewhat loopwarm too! The hummus was good and that’s the only thing I could say was! We asked for mayonnaise and ketchup which came in a Heinz squeezing bootle but after looking carefully at this the bottles was greasy to hold and 100% wasn’t the original sauces and was filled up with a cheap brand - the labels which were old and dirty was a total give away of what was going on! I used the toilets downstairs which was awful and unclean with water/urine all over the floor! I found the service very below par and the food for what it is not anywhere near as good as other places on this strip and therefore can’t see my self coming back here or recommending this place to others! Avoid if I were you…

One of the worst restaurants I have ever dined in. I took my wife out for a Lebanese dinner and the whole experience was horrible from ordering water did not receiving it for 10 or 15 minutes and when it came, it Was a plastic one and half litre bottle. ( Shame on you) for many reasons, from the use of plastic bottles in the restaurant scene to selling water for quite a price that I have never seen or heard or seen before. We sat down and had to get the attention of the waiters in many occasions but it fell on a deaf ear throughout the evening.

The food was absolutely disgusting. My wife had Okra which was cooked horribly in tin tomatoes and had nothing special about it, the Arez Salad was another horrible item, so overdressed with lemon and the rice that cake with the Okra was nothing but boiled rice with not even a hint of a spice or a bit of butter ( my wife reckons it’s a parboiled rice) which it leaves even more gobsmacked. I had the lentil soup that was way too thick and had the lamb cutlets which were nicely cooked but again came with that disgusting rice. We left more than 60% of the food uneaten and yet the waitress cleared our table without even asking how was our meal ( I guess they know the answer) as they’re used to it. Before we left, I went down to the bathroom and on my way back up I spotted the kitchen door downstairs open and it looked as dirty as hell. It made me regret choosing to go there. I don’t know if the owners of the restaurant are Lebanese or not but if they’re, I say it one more time ( Shame on you) for the way you’re showcasing your wonderful country that’s known for its culinary experiences and above all the customer service which you as a business haven’t the foggiest idea of its meaning. I wish I could give zero to this horrible place but unfortunately it’s not yet possible on the...
