Green Valley — Local services in London

Every time I am wandering around Edgware Road I find myself walking to this little Food Court as if attracted by a magnet... I inspect the window and start to drop over the biscuits, Turkish Delight and pistachios cookies until someone sees me from the Patisserie counter and giggles at my eye boggling expression,then I have been caught so I might as well walk in! Spices,exotic fruit and vegetables and international staple ingredients reign along packed,clean shelves and along isles and counters.Dates in all colours and sizes tower over you while you are possessed by the desire to buy everything or even better start eating as you go along: hibiscus teas and banana juice, Greek beans and Italian cheese, kitchen knick knacks, noodles, pasta and rice... The Staff is efficient and matter of fact, I guess they are around in case you need help but otherwise busy with filling shelves, stacking boxes, ordering groceries. The Patisserie counter is my favourite spot and there is a kind, friendly man who magically produces the most amazing sweets, free testing sessions included. Such a great shop, easy to make going there for food shopping a day out, I can't imagine of a nicer...

poor service received today from butcher Omar and eshaam It states on your website that you prepare and cut meat specific to the customer requests Infact today two of your staff members fails to take the skin off 6 chicken legs after making requests to them politely They created a big commotion and raised there voices and embarrassed and harassed me today It was not a busy period nor any other customer standing at the counter Omar and eshaam raised there voice and Rudley spoke in another language and told me if I wasn't happy to leave and pointed their finger I politely told them that they should have respect in talking to people in a calmly manner I going to report this matter and take it further and will be contact the FSA as I was harassed by the staff today which was uncalled for If a butcher is refusing to prepare the meat specific to a customer then they shouldn't be called a butcher also their falsely advertising this in their website which I will be reporting

Extremely poor service definitely don't recommend...

I love this place in terms of choice and food, however it can be a bit overwhelming going in here if you’re not a regular user, also the price system is very very difficult to understand and when you ask about it you have to literally shout at then because they say they don’t understand and feel like they make it up as they go along in terms of weight, this week it £10.00 a kilo the week before £8.00 and now this week it £24.00 a kilo, I paid £1.76 for one piece of baklava, it quite intimidating to ask question as everyone talks in different languages to each other and you get funny looks, I also paid nearly £8.00 for 8 piece of small baklava – that I would usually pay in restaurant with ice cream for £3.50 and sometime get for free after a meal. I believe I was ripped of as I am naive in there system and they use it as an accuse to rip me off. I deeply disappointed because I think this shop is very good in choice and what it offers, but it is very very expensive and scary to go in there if you’re on your own...
