Expect a stylish and contemporary setting with a touch of the unconventional. The decor often features dark, moody tones contrasted with golden accents, creating a glamorous yet slightly mysterious ambiance. The location near Battersea Power Station likely incorporates some industrial chic elements, blending the old with the new. There's an outdoor drinking terrace offering urban botanical views, making it a great spot for al fresco drinks. The Alchemist is famous for its "theatre served" cocktails. This means your drinks are not just made, they're an experience, often involving molecular mixology, with elements like smoking, bubbling, and color-changing concoctions. Their bartenders are described as having an "obsessive eye for detail," and they put on a show while preparing the drinks. The cocktail menu is extensive and creative, featuring signature drinks with unique ingredients and presentations alongside classic favorites. Examples include the Cherry Poppins with a cherry fog bubble. Food: The food menu offers all-day dining with dishes inspired by worldwide cuisines. You can find a range of options from light lunches and small plates to more substantial mains. Expect dishes with an "Alchemist twist," incorporating interesting flavors and presentations. Examples include Katsu Curry, Smoking Boards, and Crispy Curried Fish. They also offer breakfast, brunch (including a weekend "Alchemy Cocktail Brunch"), and desserts. Overall Experience: The Alchemist in Battersea aims to provide an unconventional and memorable experience, blending creative cocktails with a diverse food menu in a stylish setting. You can expect a lively atmosphere, especially in the evenings. In short, The Alchemist in Battersea is a place where you can expect more than just a drink and a meal; it's about the "theatre served" and the unexpected delights in both their cocktails and their food.

TLDR: Food was good; Drinks were awesome; Frankie’s the best. I visited The Alchemist for their easter promotion, retrieval of a really cool egg cup. It was late and they were closing soon but the staff were so friendly with me and each other that I decided to come back later that week. It was a really nice environment and I enjoyed my drink recommendation by Frankie (French Kiss), and I got to keep the weird rubber tongue it comes with. I also opted to return on a particular day that aligned with her shift. I took my best friend for a birthday dinner a few days later and was served by Frankie who was as nice as she was the first time we met. She made my friends birthday very special and gifted us both a glass of Prosecco when we arrived. She also gifted my friend one the promotional mugs which is great because she wasn't getting mine. She made great drinks and food recommendations, we were really happy with her Dead Red Zombie recc and Brûlée Vous digestif. Unfortunately she couldn't serve us the whole night, our second server was also great and handed us a vase for my friends flowers. He was patient and demonstrated the Pick Your Poison drink which we enjoyed. They were closing up and I felt a bit rushed at the end. The closing staff, a separate server, potentially the manager did make his haste very known and quickly brought out the birthday brownie with little warning that left me scrambling for my phone and camera. That being said, Frankie quickly joined us in our birthday celebration and it was sooo appreciated. We had a great night, we enjoyed the starters mostly and the truffle tater tots, also recommended by Frankie. We'll be back again, just perhaps a little earlier.

I recently visited The Alchemist Battersea with my partner, and the experience was fantastic. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the modern and elegant decor, creating a very cozy atmosphere. The restaurant’s location, in a vibrant area of London, is also ideal, and considering that, the price of £30 to £40 per person seems quite reasonable. Plus, it’s pet-friendly, which is a big bonus for pet owners! As for the food, I’d give it 4 stars. Most of the dishes were delicious, but the brownie didn’t fully convince me; it seemed to be lacking a bit of warmth and a softer texture, which detracted from its flavor. Despite this, the rest of the dishes were great, and we thoroughly enjoyed the overall culinary experience. What really made our night special, however, was the service from Jason, our waiter. He was extremely attentive, polite, and professional, making sure we were comfortable at all times. His service was flawless, with such a warm and helpful attitude that truly elevated the overall experience. A 10/10 service! In summary, The Alchemist Battersea earns my 5 stars for its excellent atmosphere, customer service, and the overall quality of the food, despite the small issue with the brownie. I would definitely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a great place in the area, especially those with pets!

Honestly, this review is very difficult to make as the restaurant has such high reviews already. This will seem unbelievable. However there is a female manager with black shorthair who has given me the most disgusting service I have ever experienced in my life me and a group of girls were barred from the alchemist because we didn’t want to pay service charge actually not that we didn’t want to pay it just that we wanted to give our own amount of service charge. She continue to call us liars And say that we were banned from the alchemist and how we were con artists because we didn’t want to leave a £31 tip. Instead we decided that we would give £5 per person and there was five of us at the table. She then proceeded to beg and beg for tips. This tip is absolutely optional. I know this because I’ve worked in hospitality service and I told her this she continued to be rude, aggressive And disrespectful, and if I’m being honest, I believe we were racially profiled because no other group of Guests had to deal with this behaviour we still ended up leaving a service charge. However we don’t tolerate this type of behaviour to be humiliated this way and kicked out of a restaurant after I’ve paid my bill is ridiculous. I will be going back there and she will see my face again and she’ll have to explain to me why she barred me because I’m not going to stay barred when I’ve paid for my meal and drinks I can go anywhere I want I pay for my mum, like I said she is a white manager with black shorthair female do not trust her. She will be nice to you in hopes that you will pay the service charge then when you don’t, she will kick you out and act like you’re banned from the alchemist other than that the food and drinks were delicious . She literally walked us out of the restaurant like it was so embarrassing she actually beds and pleaded and told us that we were awful people because we didn’t leave a tip for the chef and the waitresses were the chef and the waitresses have a salary every single person in that restaurant has a salary, and it’s paid by the hour, so whether I choose to leave a optional service charge or not, that should not result in me being removed from a well established restaurant I’m going to take this further until that WITCH is fired and I will not rest even if I have tocome back to the restaurant myself. I have never in my years of being a waitress had to ask somebody for service charge. If they choose to take it off, then they take it off. she kept telling us all I am the manager I don’t care I just want to help everybody else out well we were going to help out too!. You can’t force us to put a certain amount of money that we don’t want to put and you don’t know people situations if we choose to go and spend our money to go out to eat but we can’t afford service charge then we should be able to not afford it because like I said it’s optional, whether people can afford it or not, it is optional & she did not give us the option and that is disgusting and she’s lucky I didn’t resort to further actions because she was moving like aggressive bully. Also, it was clear that her nice behaviour and willingness to cater to us was just for service charge. She did not like us as she is a racist who only is nice to people when she thinks that she can swindle money out of them. Once she realises that you’re not an idiot and a fool and may not want to pay the full service charge. She will start to throw abusive words at you. I will not let this go. I will contact the CEO of the alchemist just to have this woman fired because I am not letting this go even a year from now I will not let this go! the treatment was disgusting from...
