Visited for the first time on a quiet Friday evening and was blown away by the customer service before anything else. Didn’t grab the name of who we spoke to, presumably the owner, but they were very open and chatty in a way that was just genuinely friendly. They were very personable and involved in the local community, chatting happily with us about other vegan businesses nearby.

They were passionate about their products and genuinely excited to hear it was our first time visiting. They recommended the Black Forest and marshmallow ice creams and both were exceptional - very creamy and thick with excellent flavours. The range was fantastic too, lots of ‘standard’ flavours but also things you don’t see often.

The prices were reasonable and clearly labelled, and allergens were clearly shown too. They were sold out of most cakes and near empty on lots of ice creams which is a really good sign for a weekday.

The atmosphere was really welcoming and clearly shown to be a safe space for all customers which is always a winner by my standards.

Really rate everything about Ice Shack and I’m sure we’ll become frequent visitors in spite of being a 20...

This place is beyond words!! It's not entirely vegan and has 20+ ice creams in its selection!!!!! UNREAL! And of course there are cakes and truffles and shakes and coffee you can have but I can't get over the ice creams! Absolute heaven!

On top of that it's not like a regular café, it's like you're arriving to an old friend's living room, it's comfy and quaintly decorated, there are a million board games and mario kart!

Plus there are community events regularly organised and anyone can take part!!

PLUS they very kindly donate to charity which just shows how giving and lovely they are!

This is a must-visit for any vegan in town, and I hope this...

Ice Shack is my girlfriend and I's comfort place, the first time we went in we were met with warm smiles and an overwhelming sense of peace and joy. We've practically become regulars at this point, their homemade cakes, homemade ice-cream and welcoming atmosphere always beckoning us back. It is sweet treat heaven, whoever said vegan cakes weren't nice, clearly has never been to ice Shack, with an ever - rotating roster, gluten free offerings and clearly a lot of love poured into everything they do, ice Shack is a one in a million kind of place that I will always champion. It's a queer haven and I am so grateful for the support they give to...

I ordered a cake from Leah for my fiance's birthday, cookie monster theme (my nickname for him since he loves cookies) and it came out absolutely beautiful! I am so impressed! Even better, it tastes absolutely divine! Chocolate & hazelnut flavour, even the frosting has a hint of hazelnut flavouring. Being a vegan cake, it means we can also share the cake with any of our friends! Absolutely gorgeous, thank you! The place itself also had a lovely warm vibe, cosy decor and games on the the tables for some fun! Perfect for a stop off for a brew and dessert. Leah and Matt (the owners) are both fantastic people, and this place is well worth a visit 😊

Ice shack is THE place to get ice cream, cake, hot drinks etc. All of the cakes and the majority of the ice-creams/sorbets are homemade. This dedicated passion for the café is matched with the warm energy and friendly attitude by the staff. The cakes are not only some of the best I've ever tasted, but some of the icing artwork is outstanding. It's colourful and welcoming vibe makes it somewhere I go when I need some self-care, aided by the affordability. The only negative is that it's not on the high street and so people don't know what they're missing! Gluten free options available, dog friendly and suitable for families.
