We try to VISIT The Bridgewater Hall each year for a concert movie. This year was Star Wars Return of The Jedi. The performance was superb as always, however we did encounter some ticketing issues. We ordered two tickets earlier in the year, however something cropped up a few weeks before the event and we needed to change the date. The staff member was helpful and advised us to return the tickets and a new set would be reissued, which we did. However after around ten days we had not received anything back and so chased them, to be told that the new tickets were being held at the booking office for us to collect on the night. On arrival we went to the booking office to be told that there was no record of the tickets being held. The staff member was helpful and reprinted tickets for different seats. We arrived at the seats to find someone else sitting in them, on checking seat numbers, the other people were in the correct seats and so we went back to the booking office. By now the show was just starting, we were swiftly issued new tickets, but felt like we were disturbing people as we went to our seats and were tutted at, understandably as the performance had started. Overall the staff were helpful and the performance was excellent, however I would recommend making sure everything is sorted if you do need to amend dates.

Took the wife to see the wonderful Aifie Boe at the amazing Bridgewater hall for her birthday. Firstly, I just like to say well done to all the security team outside the venue for carrying out security checks and stopping people and asking to see inside their bags great job very professional and polite no hold up in the queue all flowed nicely 👍. Also, good job done by the staff inside the venue showing people to their seats 👍 it was a great night Aifie Boe getting the audience involved . Downside half-time interval long queue for the ladies also not enough staff on at the bar I just about got saved its not the fault of the two staff that was on they was doing the best they could just needs the people in charge to maybe think about an extra person to help out on buzy nights . But overall, it's worth a visit in a great location with transport links all around From taxis - trams ( Metrolink ) buses if that's not enough plenty of hotels round for that overnight stay . I am looking forward to my next trip out . We'll done to each and every one of you .

Been here twice recently and what a hidden gem it is!!! Usually, I only look at 'arena' venues but a gig caught my eye... I'm a wheelchair user and so from the weekdays it said to phone them directly. They answered quickly and they were able to understand my needs and explain the seating arrangements they had to offer and what was best. Booking was easy and tickets posted to me. All floors accessible by lifts and we were shown to our seats. Great view! Very friendly staff everywhere!! It's intimate but on a grand scale, if that makes sense! At this point I have only seen the same show twice. The acoustics were amazing, the sound just... Perfect! So much so, we've booked a few more gigs to attend here!! Had a drink at the bar and all good. Don't know about the food, we didn't eat here. Plenty of places to eat and drink within walking distance and there is a large chain hotel right across the road if you are traveling here. Definitely our new favourite venue!

Bridgewater Hall is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and professionally managed concert halls I've experienced. Over the past three years in Manchester, I've attended many memorable concerts and performances in this venue. It's worth noting that when you purchase a ticket for the first time, understanding which floor you've selected can be a bit challenging, as tickets are labeled with the names of the floors rather than their numbers—Stall, Choir, Circle, and Gallery from the ground to the third. Throughout the year, you can reliably find valuable performances almost every two weeks. Ticket prices vary based on the performance, time, and seat. One strange aspect is that although you purchase your ticket online, you receive it by post within the next 48 hours. Additionally, for some performances, you can find cheaper tickets about an hour before the show starts in the venue.

We went to see a band play here and found the sound to be awful. We know it wasn’t the band equipment having seen them many times at other venues however the room just doesn’t lend itself to this kind of event. Possibly an orchestra might work better? Getting up to our seats was a slog up many flights of stairs as there are only two small lifts which were constantly full and obviously disabled people took priority which is right. During the show there were people standing up completely blocking the view of others. Clearly this was not only a pain but a potential safety hazard. We were looking for assistance from stewards but they were nowhere to be seen. The venue itself is fairly modern and hosts a nice little cafe on the ground floor. Parking was fairly accessible too despite ridiculous charges but that’s not the fault of the hall.

Wonderful venue, exceptional sound quality. We were in the gallery - watch out if you don't like heights, it's very steep up there and I heard several people say they felt a little intimidated by it. I was in the front row and the metal bar does obstruct the view so you have to lean forward (see pictures), but the ticket did warn about this.None of this spoiled my visit in the slightest, I merely point it out for others. The facilities were excellent, and the staff helpful. It was packed when we went so the atmosphere was excellent, but it did make it busy getting out. There was long queues for the lifts. The stairs were easy enough to scale and, er, not descale, ...descend, yes.
