Went to watch Post Modern Jukebox with my old man. We were sat at the back (only seats available, it was a popular show). We could see the lighting and sound engineers desks, so it felt like we were backstage. It was ace! The seats were excellent I'm tall 6'4, yet had plenty of room in front and to the sides. The sound was fantastic, I guess this is more about the engineers than the venue? We had the balconies above us but the view of the stage was uninterrupted and as I've already said, the sound was great. Had a bit of time to kill before the show started, everyone we interacted with was great, very friendly and welcoming. The cafe bit was very reasonably priced and the venue is lovely inside. The toilets were clean and fresh smelling, no issues at all. Great evening, great venue.

It’s a lovely venue. Probably not a bad seat in the house view-wise. We were up in the gods, and had some issues. It was almost unbearably hot with people having to strip down to base-layers and t-shirts. There isn’t enough leg room. The gaps between seats is narrow, uncomfortable for those with knee or hip issues. We saw a folk artist and found the volume just barely adequate. Final complaint - two glasses of Prosecco for £25? You’re having a laugh, right?

I travelled from Birmingham to hear the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra play a concert here. The venue is well staffed and there is a welcoming feeling to the place. Very good refreshment facilities on each level. My seat was Left Circle Row M; an excellent view of the stage. The acoustics are second to none. There are numerous restaurants and eateries close by. Cloakroom facilities are available.

I am reposting this here as I feel that although this is a beautiful venue, my experience was affected by their recent handling of the recent Bear’s Den tickets and partnership with Seat Unique.

This has been my recent experience and only experience of both Seat Unique and The Bridgewater Hall. I wouldn’t normally write a negative review and try and resolve at source; but in this instance I offer a word of warning to others to really check what you are buying, so that you can fairly weigh up the cost and not allow it to affect your experience. I didn’t know my seat was worth £35 until I arrived and picked up the ticket on the night, so didn’t have the full info ahead of time. See below-

Please check what they are offering and the type of seat/cost you are buying, before you purchase. I went to the gig at Bridgewater Hall and Bear’s Den were brilliant, the venue gorgeous and the staff lovely. But.

Due to being ‘sold out, I ended up buying a Seat Unique ticket which cost over £100, for what I found out on the night was a £35 ticket, 2x drinks that you queued for from the bar , a corporate room and a coat rail.

I’m really disappointed. I love live music but I’m struggling to understand how this ‘lounge experience’ to the cost charged is rationalised?

I understand venues need to make revenue, times have been tough, but to now find out I could have brought a regular ticket 2 days before the gig, as Bridgewater released more seats has left a sting and does not help the feeling that this has been all about money making not providing a service.

This does not reflect on the band, who were beautifully brilliant. I was happy to travel the 2.5+hrs to see them and would...

We try to VISIT The Bridgewater Hall each year for a concert movie. This year was Star Wars Return of The Jedi. The performance was superb as always, however we did encounter some ticketing issues. We ordered two tickets earlier in the year, however something cropped up a few weeks before the event and we needed to change the date. The staff member was helpful and advised us to return the tickets and a new set would be reissued, which we did. However after around ten days we had not received anything back and so chased them, to be told that the new tickets were being held at the booking office for us to collect on the night. On arrival we went to the booking office to be told that there was no record of the tickets being held. The staff member was helpful and reprinted tickets for different seats. We arrived at the seats to find someone else sitting in them, on checking seat numbers, the other people were in the correct seats and so we went back to the booking office. By now the show was just starting, we were swiftly issued new tickets, but felt like we were disturbing people as we went to our seats and were tutted at, understandably as the performance had started. Overall the staff were helpful and the performance was excellent, however I would recommend making sure everything is sorted if you do need to...

Took the wife to see the wonderful Aifie Boe at the amazing Bridgewater hall for her birthday. Firstly, I just like to say well done to all the security team outside the venue for carrying out security checks and stopping people and asking to see inside their bags great job very professional and polite no hold up in the queue all flowed nicely 👍. Also, good job done by the staff inside the venue showing people to their seats 👍 it was a great night Aifie Boe getting the audience involved . Downside half-time interval long queue for the ladies also not enough staff on at the bar I just about got saved its not the fault of the two staff that was on they was doing the best they could just needs the people in charge to maybe think about an extra person to help out on buzy nights . But overall, it's worth a visit in a great location with transport links all around From taxis - trams ( Metrolink ) buses if that's not enough plenty of hotels round for that overnight stay . I am looking forward to my next trip out . We'll done to each and every...
