They literally stole my money. Disgusting service from the box office staff - they deliberately took money from us knowing that it wasn’t the show we asked for. We asked for tickets for Lemons Lemons Lemons which was advertised on the outside of the building- they took advantage of the time frame - deliberately sold us tickets for the singer that was performing there (I won’t drag them into it but it was very depressing music & not our sort of thing at all) so we went to get a refund. Box office was closed. Tried to lie to me in front of my face. I had all the staff gang up around me which was very threatening - told me they wouldn’t give me my money back as the box office was closed - took 15minutes of aggressive behaviour for a manager to come & speak to me with respect & as a customer. Gave me details of who to contact for refund. Did this - was offered tickets for other shows - said I didn’t like any of those shows & wanted a refund - never heard anything back after several emails. Totally scammed me & my fiancee so I would not recommend this theatre or the company that runs it to anyone. I have never received such poor behaviour from an establishment & I have never experienced anything like this from a theatre in my 30 years of being an active supporter & participant of British theatre. Just disgusting. I don’t often think ill of places & as much as I forgive them I’m utterly appalled at this behaviour from professional staff & from a company that clearly does not value every customers experience or care it. So here is their review just incase others take heed - they the worst theatre experience of my life & I have added photos to prove the show still advertised outside & the tickets I was sold & the piece of paper that the manager gave me after 15mins of arguing with staff & being lied to my face by box office staff and my bill - which was never made good by...

My Visit to the Opera House Manchester

My visit to the Opera House Manchester was an unforgettable cultural experience. This historic theatre, opened in 1912, is one of Manchester’s most elegant and iconic performance venues. With its beautifully restored Edwardian architecture, plush seating, and grand interior, it offers the perfect setting for musicals, concerts, ballets, and drama performances.

The atmosphere inside was vibrant and welcoming. The acoustics were excellent, and the staff were friendly and well-organized, ensuring a smooth entry and interval experience. The show I attended was brilliantly produced — a true reflection of Manchester’s rich performing arts scene.

Visitor Tips: Book tickets in advance through the ATG Tickets website for the best seats. Arrive at least 30 minutes early to enjoy the lobby and grab a drink at the theatre bar. Photography is usually not allowed during shows, so plan to enjoy the performance fully.

How to Reach: The Opera House is located on Quay Street, Manchester M3 3HP, near Deansgate. It’s easily accessible by tram (St. Peter’s Square or Deansgate-Castlefield stops), bus, or a 10-minute walk from Manchester Oxford Road Station. There are also several parking options nearby, including Spinningfields Car Park.

A visit to the Opera House is a must for anyone who loves theatre, music, and Manchester’s timeless charm — a perfect evening of culture and...

Amazing time watching Burlesque!! Comfortable as a 5ft 11 girl, one of the comfier theatres I’ve been too! We sat in seat N3 & N4 circle. Two rows from the back so able to get up and walk across the back wall to the toilet and bar easily. Great view, could easily see everything. The photos are what we could see from the seats. As someone who always needs the toilets, The women’s toilets are located on the right side of the seating plan, there’s 5 cubicles but the queue goes down really fast, would recommend popping just before the interval to avoid queue There’s also a disabled one on the right side. We took sweets and soft drinks with us and it wasn’t a problem!! Drinks and food available before and during the interval, no large queues, and able to pre order! We parked at spinning fields NCP, it cost £11.95 (evening rate) parked at 6.45pm. You only have 15 mins to leave the car park, huge queue to pay at the machine, (10 mins wait) and then to leave the car park, took us just under 15 mins to get out. Recommend downloading the app ahead of time, put all your details in before the theatre and pay when you exit online!! Much faster, signal is bad if you don’t already do it prior to the show! Perfect place to park, less than 5 mins...
