I recently visited this restaurant and, unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. I ordered gluten-free food due to dietary restrictions, but it seemed there was cross-contamination with non-gluten-free items. I noticed the staff handling food without gloves, which raised concerns about proper food safety practices. As a result, I ended up with a stomach pain, which was quite unsettling and indicated a lack of care for dietary requirements.

Additionally, I felt the prices were higher than expected, especially as a non-local. It seemed like I was being charged a premium for the experience, which added to my disappointment. I hope they can improve their handling procedures and pricing transparency to ensure a safer and more enjoyable experience...

Had the Han Solo and the Smokey one, both had fries included, costing £28. The burgers were well seasoned but a bit thin, no bigger than a McDonalds patty. Very little filling in the buns, quite pathetic looking/feeling. The fries were like the last chips available from a chippy, sort of flat and scrawny but with no crunch. Sauces are available but they aren’t advertised, they come in sad sachets. No napkins provided or seemingly visible on their counter. The place was half empty but the tables with benches hadn’t been wiped for some time. They messed up our order somehow, though they were not busy at all - the serving staff were pleasant though.

Overall, very disappointed as well left hungry and unfulfilled. Definitely not...

Top tier Crimbo burger!

I love trying out festive special burgers and the offering from S&P was one of the quirkiest I've come across but also one of the most enjoyable.

The patties were cooked nicely and tasted great. The addition of the Christmas pudding really worked wonders. The sweetness complimented the saltiness from the meat (and the load of pickles too). Extra sweetness from the cranberry too. A proper festive treat!

I had roasties on the side but despite being crispy they were cheap frozen potatoes and very dry. Some gravy might have saved them but £2.75 is a bit much to charge really... I was only after the burger anyway though so that didn't spoil...
